  1. Anything can happen in the NFL but the most likely scenaro for the Ravens to make the playoffs is to win their final 2 games. They'll need more than 20 points Saturday night.
  2. He's today's Ravens MVP. And the defense. That was the #2 offense in the NFL that they held to 241 yards. They may have a chance against the Chargers. slim one, yet they have a chance.
  3. Fantasy...
  4. There's no gimmes in the NFL. The Ravens will have to earn a win. Right now it's all about protecting the football and not having drive killing penalties. Then again....Winston may become Judon's pinata.
  5. Make Joe active in case Lamar gets hurt. They also could hold Joe back another week by saying he's cleared to play but not ready this week....that he needs another week of practice. Today's ER Quiz. Which one is Joe?
  6. For as fast as they are, they have 1/2 the tackles that Mosley has. They get pushed around too much. Mosley is better. He just can't cover....but....if the Ravens had some decent safeties that wouldn't matter.
  7. I think that he's learned from his mistakes and continued to develop as a HC. He weathered the losses of Ed Reed and Lewis. Then the 3 years of injuries to key players. Then the poor drafts and free agent acquisitions. All HC's and many teams face situations like this. Many fall apart. Now he's embraced the change to a Lamar Jackson style offense and a winning team formula for the personnel that he has. And he has not lost this team. They are playing their hearts out and believe in themselves. Everybody is tight and on the same page from coaches to players. it's a new era and the Ravens are ahead of the curve. Look at what's quietly happen with the Seahawks. Pounding the rock and solid Defense is not dead. They ran for 241 yards last night. Wilson had 61 of them. There are few good defenses in the NFL right now and that is part of the reason for all these high scoring offenses to be running wild this season. look what the Bears did to the Rams. Ravens to Chiefs. Harbaugh and DeCosta are on to something. Cook it in the off season, develop it in camp and reveal it opening day.
  8. "Will Joe Flacco play Sunday?"
  9. Perhaps this will make for good casual conversation during the coaches lunch hour one day this week.
  10. To begin, I wanted Marty gone before this season. That said, Marty's been doing a good job this season. He's a big help because of his experience developing Vick and Vick will tell you he was a great help. That article is right on as far as past seasons, but as far as this season, it's ridiculous. Lamar has to throw a little more every game.He has to develop into a passer. Has to learn to read defenses. Now. He had to throw in OT because the Ravens were running out of time and had a long way to go. The holding penalty killed them. Teams will figure out the run game real soon. The Chiefs were onto something in the 2nd half. It's not producing points and points happen to be important. A complimentary passing game is needed to get it to the next level.
  11. Stealers lost. Another missed opportunity.
  12. Very exciting game and the Ravens surprised me because they traded blows and went toe to toe with the best offense in the NFL. They were in it with a chance to win the whole day. I thought for sure they were going to win when the Chiefs settled for a FG in OT. Lamar showed that he is improving and evolving with a 100.00 QB rating and 2 TD's passing. They simply could not score enough points. The D did what we've seen them do on the Chiefs final drive in regulation by giving in on 2 4th and long plays....and they played so excellent all game. The holding penalty in OT doomed them. In the end too many penalties and some poor tackling kept Chiefs drives alive. They may not make the playoffs. They had a good chance to cement it with a win. Stealers are barely hanging on at the moment vs the Raiders. Sounds like Lamar is OK.
  13. At 5-7 it looks like this prophesy is coming true. http://www.espn.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/30935/how-bengals-went-from-contenders-to-pretenders-in-three-years
  14. I see this as a loss. I'm hearing Humphry hasn't practiced. They have to have him to stand any chance. Any turnovers by the Ravens will doom them and Lamar turns it over. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/video/final-drive-no-1-vs-no-1-hasn-t-happened-since-2012-old
  15. Great question. RG# is not the best QB right now. Joe and Lamar are. Then RG3. You keep RG3 if they let Joe go or.... find a better back up who compliments a Lamar offense. Lamar may not last 16+ games. Lamar and RG3 are similar QB's so that's a big plus to keep RG3. The Ravens will have to design an offense for next year. They have 2 QB's with 2 different styles so somethings got to give. You can't tell Lamar that he is the #2 guy for next season. That's like saying "We don't trust you. You're not good enough." That could ruin his head and attitude for as long as he's a Raven. It could split the locker room. We could have a whole season of QB controversy. You can't sit Joe on the bench for a whole season given the money he makes. He'd pout and that would wreck his head and attitude. Then there's the draft and free agency to consider. They need to acquire different players to build around for Lamar vs Joe. One of them has to go. Hopefully this will be easier to answer at the end of the season when we've seen a larger body of work on Lamar. I'll say this....if they win Sunday then that's it for Joe.
  16. Yes. This has been quite pleasant. Nothing like an informed board consensus. Let's be sure because....
  17. Get 2 seats. Club Level. One for you and one for me.
  18. Bing Predicts 28% chance BAL wins ‧ 72% KC wins 28% chance. 33 degrees at kick off. Maybe this will happen to Mahomes before kick off....
  19. I think he has gotten the most out of the rosters that he was given. He always seems upbeat and focused and committed to getting the most out of his players each week as the season progresses. He's a great face of the franchise and spokesman. He's a proven leader. He now has 10 years of HC experience which is huge. He's climbed to the top of the mountain...something few....very few have done. He's heavily battle tested and in his prime. This season he's in the middle of a 180 change in the teams identity and focus. He's building a better mouse trap with the pieces that he has. He should continue the rebuild and transition into next year and beyond. It's a new era in the NFL and the Ravens could be riding the big wave.\ He's genuine.
  20. Come and get me, but one of the hardest things that I've had to consider this season is "Should the Ravens and Harbaugh part ways?" I know there are quite a few fans here that want to see him go. I want him to stay. I was looking at coaches who are on the hot seat and likely to get fired. At one time, they were all the Flavor of the Month." Hot rising stars. now, a year, 2 or 3 later they are Duds. I say "Buyer Beware." i can back up why I support the Ravens holding on to John.
  21. The Ravens have to ride the Lamar Train until somebody derails it. They have no choice. It's too late in the season and each game is a must win scenario. We have to hope that Lamar survives this season intact, physically. Then they can design an offense for him, develop him as a passer, coach him on how to survive physically and even design an offense that will limit his exposure to injury. It can still be exciting and unpredictable....just not as outrageous as what we are seeing. Right now it's fun to watch and totally different from anything we've seen as Ravens fans. Yet Lamar needs to be able to play 16+ games every season. He's learning and I'm good with that. You can't learn much on the bench. Mental reps is bullshit. You learn by doing. And us? Win or lose, we need to hang in a support this team. They are balling their butts off through all kinds of change and adversity.
  22. This team is really well balanced with a very good defense, special teams and now offense. Ground and Pound Wear You Down. What's nice to see, with all the pressure of "must win games" each week, is that this team is loose and having fun. They are confident too. And that's Swagger.
  23. Highly Unlikely. Snowballs chance?
  24. This win is huge as I see a loss for sure next week. Colts lost, Browns and Bengals lost....Titans are losing. There's a little breathing room. Not much but it looks like they will be in the hunt until at least 12/16. 7-5!
  25. Very impressive.... This was enough but "not very impressive"............ only 19 points for the offense against the 29th scoring defense.
