Just what I want to hear....

I say that he's got the whole team in film study and that he gets 2 picks Sunday. "If we win then I'm dying this green."
-
2 solid articles on what the Ravens need to do. Run and play great defense.

I'm not going but that is because of the cold. I'm fighting off the flu and my immune system is weak. I can't afford to get sick and miss work. I really want to be there. I've sat through colder games with nothing at stake.

I'm hoping a fools hope, that he is exaggerating the situation to raise awareness. 80 years. When will we start thinking about the world we are leaving for our children? Reading this, they are inheriting Hell..

And the fans should watch and boo.... At least we're past the tar and feathering days.

Stephen Hawking is known for his groundbreaking achievements in science, but many do not realize that the physicist is also recognized for making predictions about the future of humanity and Earth. This year the Oxford professor made some of the most unusual predictions to date, some of which may put a slight damper on your New Year’s festivities. We Only Have 100 Years Left On Earth Thanks to modern day health care, 100 years is nearly a lifetime, but in May, Hawking proposed that this is how long humans have left on Earth, Wired reported. This is a stark shift backward from the 1,000 years time limit that Hawking had predicted in 2016. According to Hawking in his BBC science series, Tomorrow’s World, climate change, overdue asteroid strikes, epidemics and population growth are to blame for the new century-long doomsday clock. Humans Have To Colonize Another Planet ASAP In a BBC documentary released earlier this year, titled Stephen Hawking: Expedition New Earth, the physicist explained his prediction that soon the human species will have to leave Earth and repopulate somewhere else in the universe, either on a spacecraft or on another planet. The physicist warned that if humans don’t become a multi-planetary species and settle on other worlds, our species could die out within the next century. Hawking first proposed this grim prediction in 2016, but revisited it again this year with supporting facts on why he believes the prediction could actually come true. “Although the chance of a disaster on planet Earth in a given year may be quite low, it adds up over time, becoming a near certainty in the next thousand or ten thousand years,” explained Hawking in the documentary, Weather.com reported. Earth Will Glow Red And Become As Hot As Venus In July, Hawking told the BBC that humanity is at a “tipping point” where global warming would become so bad that Earth will “become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees Celsius, and raining sulfuric acid.” Venus is the second closest planet to the sun, and, as far as scientists are concerned, life there is impossible. Hawking also predicted that humanity’s natural greed would impede us from being able to properly address this problem, and that inevitable our best bet is to leave Earth completely. By 2600, Earth Will Not Be Able To Keep Up With Population Growth In November of this year, at a Tencent WE Summit, an annual forum where top scientists and professionals gather to share ideas on science and technology, Hawking predicted that due to the increasing human population, by 2600 the world’s electricity consumption will make our once blue planet glow fire-red, Geek Wire reported. According to Hawking, the global population has been doubling every 40 years, and our planet can only take so much. “This exponential growth cannot continue into the next millennium,” explained Hawking, Geek Wire reported. "By the year 2600, the world’s population would be standing shoulder to shoulder, and the electricity consumption would make the Earth glow red-hot.” AI Will Replace Humans And Take Over The World In 2017, Hawking was quite vocal with his concerns regarding robots and artificial intelligence. In November, Hawking explained he believes that AI will reach a point where it will ultimately become a completely new form of life that will outperform and eventually replace humans, CNBC reported. "I fear that AI may replace humans altogether. If people design computer viruses, someone will design AI that improves and replicates itself,” Hawking told Wired. Trump Will Push Earth Over The Brink Hawking is not a fan of the U.S. President Donald Trump, and earlier this year commented that the president’s decision to pull out of the Paris climate agreement could lead to irreversible climate change, The BBC reported. The Paris climate agreement is an international consensus of nearly 200 countries to cut greenhouse emission in an effort to halt climate change. According to Hawking, Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of this deal could be the final step towards drastic climate problems that may have serious effects on all life on Earth. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/science/stephen-hawkings-incredible-predictions-in-2017/ar-BBHq0nc?li=BBnb7Kz

John Fox, Chicago Bears Chuck Pagano, Indianapolis Colts Dirk Koetter, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hue Jackson, Cleveland Browns Jack Del Rio, Oakland Raiders Jay Gruden, Washington Redskins Bill O'Brien, Houston Texans Mike Mularkey, Tennessee Titans Todd Bowles, New York Jets Vance Joseph, Denver Broncos Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys Bruce Arians, Arizona Cardinals https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/13-coaches-on-some-kind-of-hot-seat-and-awaiting-black-monday/ar-BBHnNHL?li=BBnb7Kz Not all of them will go. This may be a record setting year for HC turnover.

A lot of teams with something to play for were disappointing yesterday. Bills, Dolphins, Falcons, Packers, Lions, Titans, Broncos, Mexico's Team..... Then there's the abysmal Browns, Giants and Jets. We don't have it that bad. They have been playing meaningful games in December. That's all that I ask for...to be in the Hunt. Of course I want to see the Ravens win these games. What frustrates me the most is this injury bug that has been haunting this team for a long time. It takes away the ability to develop a really good team. you have the pieces, you fill the holes and then the bottom drops out. Many teams are suffering from it, especially the teams that have lost their starting QB's. when that happens it's like your season is over.

Once again the defense worked hard to make sure the Colts remained in the game. The absence of QB pressure and secondary coverage reminds me of years past. That was basically the league's worst offense and defense that the Ravens made to look respectable. It's a blowout if they make those interceptions. "If's and But's" I'm not feeling good about this upcoming game with the Bengals. They have had the Ravens number for a long time. They lost the season finale to the Bengals the last 2 years...27-10 and 24-16. They were swept in 2014. And now after a horrible season, the Bengals have one game that can leave them with a good taste. Knock the Ravens out of the playoff hunt. I mean, here's another prime opportunity for the Ravens to disappoint and they seem to relish that role. Let's see how the Bengals do today vs the Lions. They maybe gearing up. They have nothing to lose. Marvins Swan Song. Yada, Yada, Yada.... "Do De Do Dee Do. All Day To Throw."

After yesterday the Ravens will definitely need "all hands on deck' for the Bengals.

We have work to do.

Since his 2008 Baltimore arrival, the Ravens have posted the NFL’s fourth-most total victories (95). The Ravens are one of only seven teams with at least six playoff berths in the past nine seasons: Green Bay (8), New England (8), Baltimore (6), Cincinnati (6), Indianapolis (6), Pittsburgh (6) and Seattle (6). The Ravens’ 10 playoff wins since 2008 rank as the NFL’s second most (New England, 11). Of those Ravens’ victories, an NFL-best seven have come on the road. Harbaugh owns the second-most playoff victories (10, tied with George Seifert) by a head coach in his first nine seasons (since the 1970 merger). (Joe Gibbs is first with 11.) The 2012 Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII, 34-31, over the San Francisco 49ers in one of the most dramatic games in NFL history. Baltimore jumped to a 28-6 lead, but needed a critical goal-line stand late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. The Ravens overcame a furious second-half comeback and a 34-minute power outage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans to clinch the franchise’s second World Championship. Under Harbaugh’s guidance, the Ravens have appeared in three AFC Championship games (2008, 2011, 2012) and have won at least one playoff game during each of their six postseasons with him as head coach. Harbaugh has led the Ravens to 85 regular season wins since 2008, tying (Atlanta) for the NFL’s sixth most. Harbaugh, Tom Landry (Dallas) and Tom Coughlin (Jaguars/Giants) own the most road playoff wins (7) by a head coach in NFL history. Harbaugh is the only head coach in NFL history (since 1970 merger) to win a playoff game in each of his first four and five seasons. He is also the only head coach in NFL history to win a playoff game in six of the first seven seasons of a coaching career. John and his younger brother, Jim (2011, 2012 and 2013), the former 49ers’ head coach, are the only NFL head coaches to reach three conference championships in the first five seasons of a coaching career. With Harbaugh, the Ravens have a 54-18 mark at M&T Bank Stadium over the past nine seasons, ranking as the NFL’s third-best home record during that span (2008-16). I rest my case.

The Ravens and their fans are fortunate to have him. There will be at least a dozen HC changes this off season. A dozen franchises that can't get it right. We have it right here. Harbaugh and his staff have done a masterful job building and developing the team after a disastrous run of injuries in the pre season. They put together the leftover parts and pieces that they had and developed game plans and schemes that played to the strengths that they have. Yes there was trial and error and the team stumbled early on....but they kept their eyes on the prize and worked hard to get better one day at a time. Now they are legit playoff contenders. Here's a refresher.... A lot of fans gave up....myself included. Joe's back issues in the pre season was a real bummer. Then one after another fell. I did not think they could get it together this year. Yet, they have. That says a lot about Harbaugh. Ozzie too. The quality depth was there.

If the Ravens dominate the Colts from the gate, then the smart thing to do would be to sit Collins and Joe in the 4th quarter. Sit other key guys too. Watson, Suggs, Brandon Williams, Mosley and maybe even Wallace. Just have Mallett hand it off. There's no bye week for this team....and they need all hands on deck to beat the Bengals. It will be a physical game. I see opportunity to give Bowser, Williams, West playing time....and get Perriman out there.
-
The offense is coming around. Let this sink in...."Since Week 8, the Ravens are No. 3 in the NFL in scoring, averaging 30.7 points per game." Mike Wallace does a good recap on the reason for the early struggles... To get to this point the coaches coached their asses off to develop their players and units. And the players bought in and worked their asses off. All Unsung Heros with the Right Stuff. Ravens.

Yes. No dominant AFC Teams. The team I wouldn't want to meet is the Jags. The Ravens can complete and that excites me. I'm not in that "They're going all the way" mindset. I know what they have.....and the door is open, they have a decent shot. They will need to continue to get better as a team with all 3 phases showing up gameday. And like 2012....they will need some luck.

I agree about the weak opponents and backup QB,s that they have won against. Also one of my criteria for a legit playoff team is beating teams with winning records and playoff teams. They are on the short end here. This remains a concern, but not as major after the Steeler game. That game showed me that they have developed enough over the course of this frustrating season, that they can now stand "toe to toe" with anybody. They have 2 weeks to get better and lethal enough to win against really good teams. The Ravens and the Jags will be the 2 most dangerous teams in the AFC Playoffs. The Jags because of their D and they are perfecting their winning formula. So are the Ravens...one week at a time. They are healthy too. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-jags-20171218-story.html And the Ravens put up 38 on the Steelers, in their house. That says a lot. The Pats couldn't. The Steeler won't be so fortunate in round 3. This team has been inconsistent for 2/3rds of the season. It seems that they haven't been able to have more than one game where all 3 units played well. What is impressive to me is how they battled through a ton of injuries starting with Joe's back and through all of this " the Next Man Up's" are settled into their roles and their units are getting stronger. Now they are showing improvement and finding ways to win. I don't think they are going to regress from here on out. I doubt the Ravens show us much these last 2 games on offense. They are scheming up for the playoffs and want to hide what they will unleash.
-
I'm feeling it. The tide is turning and momentum is building. The Ravens are averaging 31 points per game over their last 5 games. Joe keeps taking one step forward to being January Joe. The O has a legit runner in Collins. He's a true #1. The line isn't regressing. They are solid at best. Wallace is emerging. Who's this season's Boldin going to be? Woodhead perhaps? Waton as this year's Pita? Moore as this year's Jones on offense? Or could it be Macklin? The Special Teams unit is the best the Ravens have ever fielded. The D is stopping the run and leads the NFL in turnovers. They are better than the 2012 unit. 2 games to go. 2 games to keep developing this squad to be as potent as they can be. And then all Hell breaks loose. The Ravens are in the Hunt.

Perhaps it's the time of the season pulling on my heart strings, that feeling of love and empathy for your fellow man. Perhaps it's old age setting in and I'm geezing. Yet I too, can't help but to feel sorry for that sad lot in Cleveland. They've had a raw deal for way too long and it was not of their making. It was that Mayor, city council and Carman CAP Cheat Policy who duped them and sent them out into the weeping and gnashing of teeth. And suffer much, they have. I couldn't help but to notice the "AllI want for Christmas is a Browns win" signs. So with heart felt magnaminty, coupled with the power of the cravn curse, I wish this for all those Brownie fans this Christmas; That they swap places with the Steelers for the next 2 decades. Everybody wins. We still have them to hate. They have us to hate and we can all laugh at the Steelers and their bandwagon fan base.

No sense in going to the game now. No way to sugar coat it, the Browns are an awful team and organization. Their fans, who are very loyal, didn't even show up for their last home game.

Yup. Big Party next Saturday. Unleash the Hounds!
