Turning the ball over and settling for FG's is not a winning formula on the road. Run game has stalled. Another critical Perriman drop.
-
Macklin sighting!! Joe throwing good
-
That was too easy...10-3. And the Ravens offense is....drifting into "same old" mode,
-
He throws better too.
-
Great defensive play on the INT. Can't blame Joe or Perriman
-
3 and out. That's what they need.
-
3-3. Now....can the D settle down?
-
Beautiful throw Koch! Outstanding fake punt! PLAY TO WIN BABY!!!!!
-
1st carry Collins...14 yards
-
Nice 1/2 yard pass
-
Nice sack Judon! Suggs is showing up early...good sign. D off to shaky start but holding them to 3 is good. Now...what Joe will show up For that matter what Wallace and Macklin? They need Collins today.

Big game. Let's bring home the win!

This is a Telltale Game. If the Ravens can build off of last weeks performance than there's hope. Not playoff hope, but hope that there is a solid core to build upon. There are a lot of things needed for this. Can they fundamentally sound football? Block, tackle, throw and run? Start with that. Keep it simple.

If the D plays like top 5 they have a chance. If.There's this too... Watsons done for the season....
-
He cleared the concussion protocol.... His eyes checked out... He passed the vision test... what Joe saw but he is having a little bit of trouble reading the playbook... So what do you think Joe?
-
They really work hard and work over time to be 0-8....
-
This organization is beyond belief.... Are there any mature adults running this franchise?
-
Yea...so things on D are headed in the right direction. I don't agree with this mid season power ranking..... 16 teams have worse records than the Ravens. The Ravens are actually in the playoff hunt. 3 cheers for Mediocrity!
-
I've heard him on the radio a hundred times and he sounded like a 100% family man and peaceful guy. There are 2 sides to every story....innocent until proven guilty....all that stuff....but this is not good.
-
Here's Prestons mid season report on the Ravens #7 ranked secondary. One more playmaker on the D line, at safety and at LB and this could be a very strong unit.
-
He's been the shutdown guy and off to his best season ever because he's been relatively healthy. Definitely a bright spot and top 5 CB....maybe higher. Moore rarely gets sacked, but most of those sacks and QB hits were coverage sacks.

The Ravens have 2 shut outs and that's impressive despite their mediocre record. It says something "is there" to work with and build on. The Path to being a Playoff Caliber Team: 1. Defeat the teams with equal or lesser records. They defeated the Browns, Bengals and Raiders. Teams with similar or lesser records. That's a positive as far as this team is not totally hopeless or devoid of talent. The loss to the Bears is disturbing. 2. Win games in your division. They are 2-1 in division wins. 3. Win games in your conference. They are 4-2. That's good as far as tie breakers. 4. Defeat teams with winning records. They lost to 3 teams with winning records. This says they are not ready to play with the Big Boys. They basically were slaughtered by the Vikings, Stealers and Jaguars. This is a clear sign of a mediocre or less than mediocre team. 5. Defeat Playoff caliber teams. Maybe you can stretch the Raiders into this category but the were missing Carr. 6. Win at home. 2-2. Heading in the wrong direction here. 7. Win on the road. 2-2. This is not that bad actually. For example win 6-7 home games and 3-4 road games and you are knocking on the door. Right now at 1pm, 10/29 the Ravens are actually at the #8 spot to make the playoffs in the AFC, but that should drop as the games unfold today. 14th ranked offense. 17th in points per game. This ranking will also change at the close of todays games 27th ranked defense. [b'BUT....6th in points surrendered.[/b] That should improve at the close of todays games. Not too shabby. They have the 7th best rusher in the NFL in Collins. 1st in ypc with a solid 6. They have the 27th ranked QB.... They have thev #1 tackler in the league in Mosley. Jimmy Smith is emerging as one of the top CB's in the league. Tucker Is Fabulous as we know. Koch is the #1 punter in the NFL. They are +5 in Give away/Take away's . Ranking #5. Ravens lead the league in interceptions with 12. It's been a long time since we've seen this. #9n in sacks. 23rd in getting off the field on 3rd down. Not good. My take: We know about the ridiculous amount of players who are hurt and on IR but, all in all, that means nothing. They can't field a healthy team and the NFL does not award handicaps. So they are doing really bad here. They have 8 games left. They are not going 6-2 with this squad. No playoffs this year. 4-4 may be a stretch. I will look for any signs of life where they are taking a step forward as a playoff caliber team. Not for this year, but something to build on for next season. I will look for playmakers and what solid core they have to build upon for next year. There is something solid to build on. Identifying it is vague and difficult because nobody can stay healthy. I will not waste one minute thinking about the draft until the season is over. Final Take: Show Me and Win Now!

I don't get it. Moore should have had a career day. All the unknown slappies have one against the Ravens. Really fun game to watch. The Ravens were faster, more physical and pissed off. There was great play everywhere. Mosley, Smith had a great game. The secondary plastered the receivers and that let the dogs loose. And Collins is just one very bright spot on a dull season. He did not get the memo to be tentative and just be average. Joe was having a good game, sweet TD throw to Maclin and then the blatant cheap shot to Joe's head. Alonso was head hunting. The timing of Joe's slide meant there was going to be a collision for sure....BUT.......He did not have to launch the forearm and shoulder to Joe's head. The was intentional and cheap. Loved seeing Jensen throw Alonso to the ground and rip his helmet off. Howard played with one mean nasty streak. Suggs showed up and Davis had a good game. Williams held the middle and since the secondary had such great coverage Peas dialed up the blitz. The blitzes were well timed, disguised and executed with speed. Only one downer to this: They did it to the league's worst offense. This is balanced out by the Ravens running the ball at will and down the throat of the #5 run defense. I liked the uni's.

The top headlines from the Ravens website show how at a loss they are to find anything positive.... They may want to talk football but they can't.
