A different take from the victims perspective....

As a fan of this team I am not going to let the conduct of 1 player influence my thoughts, feelings and support of the other players. There are way too many good men on this team and in this organization. And in this city. You saw fan reaction.... A large contingent of Baltimore fans were going to throw their Rice jerseys on the field Thursday night. Nobody approves of what he did. Most can't stand it. The rest of the players need us. They didn't do anything wrong, but the media will hold a hate fest for the Haters. They will judge and condemn the whole based on the actions of one. Us too. I will be there Thursday night, with others, to let the Ravens players know they are not alone and that we have their back.

Yea...it's more like the worst few months. Cutting Rice quickly sends a strong message that the Ravens won't tolerate this kind of behavior. The organization did the right thing. This is like Watergate. The speculation is spinning out of control like "Goodell and the Ravens saw this video and really knew what happened and gave Rice a slap on the wrist and then a hug. They have no respect for women." I don't buy that. I do think that Rice and possibly Janay lied to them or down played what happened in the elevator. His name, reputation, career and a ton of money was on the line. The video blew open the lie.

Yea...the media horde won't rest until they get questioned publicly. Steve and Ozzie have to talk or this circus continues. There's no way to win. If you say something, then that's questioned and some weird spin is put on it like Valkenbergs stuff. If you don't say anything, than another spin is put on that. and everybody is rushing to out-spin the next guy to get ratings and hits.

You are so right. He's their poster man punching bag forever. The player who hit his wife or girlfriend on the 49'ers? He played Sunday. Not a peep. It wasn't on video.

It doesn't matter. It's the cost of doing the right thing. The team will get it back with respect and goodwill because they did what was right. The dark cloud that could take 10 years to remove is gone. The team, and their salary's, are free to play football and not live in a circus.

It has cost him everything. As best as I can tell he has been an excellent son and young man until this one moment when he lost it...probably because he was drunk. Football was his dream and that is gone forever. His name is ruined for life because that's how this society works. They will never forgive him. He is now the most famous poster man for Spousal Abuse. Being cut from the team and the indefinite suspension is right. I support that. The rest? All the life long hate....his name ruined forever? That's not right. They better put a suicide watch on Ray because he's not the person the world is trying to make him. He's lost everything and can't repair it.

I wouldn't. Ray's Loved by his team mates. I think they'll take their rage out on the Steelers.

The Ravens need to take a stand that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. A serious suspension. ..at least 8 games...sends the message. Second offense...permanent ban from NFL. I'm booing him when I see him take the field but I don't believe in hating for life. He was a very good man and still can be that.

I want him out of here.

I haven't seen the video. I want to cut ties with him. I don't want to see him in a Ravens uniform this year.

Exactly...no pressure on Dalton....but Brown was clearly beat on that final TD. Why he didn't have help over the top is beyond me. Then Stewert shows up late and blows the tackle.

It was all on Pita. He should not have stoped. If he keeps running completion and TD. I was there. He had open field in front of him...you keep running your route

The offense really sucked for the first half. Joe in particular. On one pass play Joe had a ton of time and nobody was within 20 yards of Torry. Any kind of throw that gets within 10 yards of Torrey is a TD. Joe did not see him. The drops and Joe and the inability to run the ball in the first half yieded punt, punt, punt, missed FG, Joe Flacco brain fart end of half. Hey...O line gave Joe plenty of time. All Joe needed to do was not think and get rid of the ball. He had men open...frequently. He did that in the second half. Now....Forsett and Aiken gave a clue to what this O can do. Sit Jacoby or platoon him....speed and knowing this offense kills. Ray Rice will do great in it too. Bring on the Steelers....Ravens get their vfirst win.
