Can we stop this? I know...dumb question. in 13 snaps Tyrod was 1 for 5 for 2 yards and an interception last year. He ran. 8 times for 64 yards. He panics and runs. This is a deceiving 8 ypc because one of the runs was for 25 yards. Take that run out and he's a respectable 5 ypc guy. Guess what? Joe was 4.9 ypc on 27 carries. So you gain nothing by playing Tyrod. Give Tyrod a moving pocket and he will run. What's the sense in the receivers running a route? He doesn't stink. He's a competitor and very athletic. He doesn't bitch and moan. He knows his role.I like him but not with the game on the line, which it generally is until the final gun.

They made him stay in the pocket at yesterdays practice and he had a bad day. He's not accurate, has trouble reading the field and defenses, so it's fight or flight time and he runs. He is not NFL starting material.

The deepest part of the team is now thinner. The depth at DE is now thin. He was playing smart agressive ball....feel real bad for him.

I have been feeling good about the progress of the Ravens training camp and feel even better after reading La Canfora's article because he's a "Third Party" observer. He's not a homer. Like John Harbaugh says: They keep stacking one good practice on top of another to be the best that they can be. Here's some of La Canfora's observations... Looks like this experiment is working. I had my doubts. More good news....

I don't know crav. I fairness to Ben, his honesty and sense of fair play was apparent. He knew the Refs were paid off, so he tried as hard as he could to give the game away.

OK...the secondary is looking like a big liability without Webb. Not worried about the offense. It was nice to read that Joe has lost nothing on his deep ball. He's the best in the NFL throwing that and teams have to respect that. It also is safe to say that he's having no problem executing the QB position in Kubiaks offense.

Second best record in baseball. 6 up on the Stankies and J's.

I get it. By the time he was in the game it was college football. He had a weak line and racked up 71 yards on 123 carries for 5.5 ypc. He had the longest gain of the day other than Taylor. His power is impressive. He broke through the first and second hits and pushed the pile. With the Ravens starting O line and the push that they were getting his forward momentum should make the push even deeper. He's a Punisher of linebackers. In the game day thread I remarked that he's a mini Jamal Lewis. He's perfect for Kubiaks offense. When it's time to power it in the endzone or pound the running game to run out the clock it looks like he's the man.

Just keep the playmakers. Release the projects and potential guys. Thompson and Williams had their chance.
