    Browns Game

Bombs Away!... And another stat.... Think the Browns will enjoy seeing Jamal getting inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor? They helped put him there.
  2. What happened to the Packers offense?
  3. They really fell apart... Brees is the most surprising flop after the incredible numbers that he's put up. He got his money.
  4. 7 homers...ties a club record. They are close now to setting a new single season record for home runs set in '96 I think. They broke it open in the 5th. Yea...the 2 out homer in the 5th by Davis was huge. That opened the flood gates. I was worried the bats would get silent for this final stretch...especially since the pitching has been shaky until last night. 6 games to go!
  5. ''Our officials will be back on the field starting tomorrow night'' for the Cleveland-Baltimore game, commissioner Roger Goodell said. ''We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement.'' What a friggn'n mess that was!
  6. I don't see this as a trap. I see it as a slaughter. Massaquoi's out....they will start this guy... Their O line is sub par so Richardson will have a hard time running. WeDone...we know about him. The Ravens D can get real healthy if they want too. They should go all out in a dress rehersal for Houston. The Brownies have nobody who can cover. Now...Joe's not going to be malicious, he's not like that but he has a duty to throw to the open man. He'll throw for over 400 yards with 3 TD's unless Coach puts Tyrod in early. I don't see how this gets close...divisional rivalry and all.
  7. I feel it's must win tonight. Actually it's "Should Win"...some slappy is the starting pitcher for Toronto tonight.
  8. I hear our game will be the last with the replacements.
  9. It's all cool....I'm not mad or upset with anybody. I have no problem with being called out anytime. I do want us to have fun talking Ravens football. And Just Remember...
  10. Worth a thousand words...
  11. Look...don't project your shit on me. You do not know me, what I think or what I believe. No need to talk about me in the third person...you can ask me direct if I think or believe that. I have been posting about how I was pissed at the media asking local sports fans to make choices between the Ravens and O's. I thought the media was trying to polarize the fans. I posted how I remember the days when the O's and Colts were very good and in the playoffs and that it's fantastic for a Baltimore Sports Fan to have this happening again because so many were not around when we really had it huge here. I posted how much fun it was to be at the Ravens pre season games and listening to the O's on the radio. It brought back memories of when we had 2 great sports franchises here. Why the fuck would I believe we can't have 2 winning teams at the same time? I lived in a time when we did.
  12. PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T HIT ME!!!! I stand by my "borderline look". Here's what I mean by borderline: I did not say they are the same as the '96/'97 Ravens. It has a good side. Just like the '96 Ravens, the 2012 unit is scoring at will...in fact better than "96 with 32.7 points per game vs 27.7. That's really friggn'n good! So...the offense has the good look like '96 as far as scoring (and yards). It does not have the bad turnover/choke look. The 2012 D is giving up the same yards. It's the points surrendered that bothers me. 22.3ppg vs 27.7 for the '96 unit. That looks Borderline to me....as in "They don't have much farther to go to be like the '96/'97 unit D." When was the last time you saw a Ravens defense give up that many points on average? Yea...back in the 90's. The yards surrendered is huge (401 per game average). They are ranked 27th again this week...28th against the pass. I'm stating the obvious here: If they don't tighten up the pass defense, if they can't find a way to generate QB pressure, then....well it's going to be a long season. Cassell, Rivers, the Mannings, Romo, Rthsslxsbrrgrrr,...even RG3 will have fun days sitting in the pocket picking the D apart. The saving grace that I see is Webb, Reed and Pollard. They won't let the pass defense look as horrid as the '96 and '97 teams. They'll prevent teams from racking up the points. Williams is as bad as Jenkins. I was at the game and saw him clear as day every snap. I don't know what happened to him between last year and this year but the Dude is really bad. Maybe it is the loss ofg Suggs. With no pressure these corners can't get the job done. The two work hand in hand so maybe all the blame shouldn't come Williams way. I agree....Flacco won't turn Vinny and there is also Ray Rice to provide a very effective difference between now and then. I don't mean for this thread and stats to be a dower. I just had a "Day-Jaahh-Vooo" feeling at the game Sunday night even though I kept posting "Don't worry. The Ravens are going to win" during the game. And....Sunday night was the second most fun game I've been at...next to the 2000 win over the Jags at #1. And...I do belive the D will tighten up and get better....but they better hurry after their "Get Healthy" game against the Brownies Thursday night because...here comes Houston.
  13. Remember '96 and '97? Vinnie and the offense were rolling up and down the field scoring points. The defense was getting toasted giving up just as many and more. Remember those 4th quarter meltdowns...the costly interceptions and then the secondary getting beat bad. Well...this 2012 Ravens team better study their history because there are awfully close to that senario again. All it will take is for Flacco to start doing Vinnie impersonations and it looks like Williams and Smith already have the Jenkins look. Sunday night the defense made the stops that they had to in the 4th quarter and Joe and the offense made the plays for the win. How close are they to morhing into the '96' and '97 Ravens? They have a ton of excellent QB's to face this season.
  14. It definitely is the loudest "Bull Shit!" chant in the recorded history of mankind....far surpassing Adam's anguished chant of "Bull Shit!" when Eve covered herself up with a fig leaf. It started with the PA giving the drum beat for Dee-Fense and immediately the crowd substituted Bull Shit. What else could we yell? Hadn't seen any defense all night.
  15. 4-1 O's in the first game.
  16. The Steelers only averaged 1 more ypc than Johnson Sunday
  17. OH! OH! I'm Sorry! I'm so sorry! That website gave me the wrong picture! I hope nobodies offended. I feel terrible that this has happened. Here's the correct photo...
  18. How about that fan running around on the field!
  19. Could have been yards more because they gave up 135 in penalties. It was looking like Billicks team melt down against the Pats. Joe throws for 382 yards and 3 TD's. Ray runs for 101 yards...5.1 ypc and 49 more yards off receptions. Torry Smith was incredible....inspiring. 2 TD's...127 yards...21.2 ypc. This team is so bonded together...so tight...the team chemistry can't get any better. It's clear the torch has passed from the Defense to the Offense. Accept it. We are now going to watch football like most NFL fans of the big winning teams have been watching it. The defense gives up a lot of points and yards but the offense scores more. The Ravens intensity and physical play was there all night...been there all season. Oh! Hat's off to the O line. Joe wasn't sacked once and they thought they were going to feast on him. One more tip of the cap to Tucker...he's a grown man now.
  20. Another monkey off our back.
  21. "Did you hear the "BULL Shit" chants on the TV?" Crowd was insane....like the 2000 victory over the Jags....I didn't want to leave. This was a big win folks.
  22. Noooooooooooooooooo! Never, ever give up! It's the new Ravens....offense is what they are about.
  23. Got to get Williams off the field. Brady can throw there 10 times and get 10 completions
