  1. You know what a fast tempo offense can do to a defense. It prevents substitution packages, has them constantly running and gased and creates coverage and communication issues. The Ravens defense has 1 huge challenge.
  2. How many playoff wins does Phillip Rivers have?
  3. yea...this isn't the big one.
  4. crav...check out the update I posted on the Reed thread.
  5. YOU GO TERRELL!!!!!!!!
  6. I think a little of Big Mouth Ed Reeds Defense won't hurt either. A serving of Ray Rice and Suggs on Brady will also help the cause. If the Ravens are to win this game it will require a team effort in all 3 phases, winning field position, the turnover battle and Time of possesion. Yea...Joe can play a huge part in that too.

    Here crav....
  8. Ed should keep his mouth shut to the media about stuff like this. I agree with what he said, but he really needs to say that to Cam, Joe and Harbaugh. Then he needs to stand in front of the O line and give them the speech too. Then, if the Ravens secondary gets torched Sunday, he needs to go back on this radio show and tell them what he should have done.
  9. Certainly Brady will do some damage but the Pats D has no answer forFlacco, Ray Rice, Pita, Dixon, Boldon and Smith. Evans may show up too. The Ravens D has to hold them to field goals (they can do that)...get some 3 and outs and the Ravens will win 34-27. They did not beat a team with a winning record this year....that's serious shit. The Ravens are 7-0 against teams that made the playoffs this year...that's serious shit.
  10. Love it! You go dc!!!
  11. There was absolutely no rythmn or tempo for the Ravens offense. I can only come up with "lethargic" and 'Ugly" to describe it. You're right about the runs dc. As soon as they get a 4 or 5 yard run it's "Time to throw!"..."We ran enough" ...."They won't be thinking pass!"... Then again....the O line was terrible. They made no running lanes for Ray and "Ole'd" in pass protection....so what can an OC do? The receivers took way too long to get any seperation so Joe is left standing there with his &!@* in his hand. They can't get off 2 plays in a row with the tempo of a Brady offense...and he get 60+ plays off at a rate of speed beyond the comprehension and ability of the Ravens offense. It's a Ferrari vs a 10 year old Yugo.
  12. "What do you think Mike?"
  13. Here's a photo for drama OTR... The Ravens need Ed real bad next week. Brady's scared of him...Suggs too.
  14. Packers are done. The darlings of the NFL this year. The unbeatable Rodgers. The dome teams are gone. Brees gone. Only great QB left is Brady. It's opening up nice for the Ravens....well...there's that one last huge hurdle...Brady.
  15. They can. They beat them in the playoffs with a lesser team 2 years ago. They won't if they play like they did today next week. To point out what good defense can do to great offense....the Giants D is holding Aaron Rodgers and the Pack O to 13 points right now in the 4th quarter. The Pats D is horrendous. Ray Rice should run for at least 150 and keep Brady and the Pats off the field. Joe can throw on those slappies too. The Ravens D will have to play faster and they will have to sack, hit and harrass Brady. They can do it.
  16. That's all that matters. Win and Advance. This game reminded me of the 2000 playoff game against the Titans #1 D who won the statistical battle but lost the game. Only that game was very exciting for me and it is my second all time favorite Ravens game next to the Super Bowl win. The Ravens beat a very good football team today. When you have 2 great D's on the same field it gets ugly. Raven Ugly...and they know how to win those kinds of games. In the playoffs you need all 3 phases to play well and win. The Ravens won today because Special Teams made a big play (thank you Jacoby Jones!), the offense capitalized by scoring Touchdowns and the D got 4 turnovers. The Ravens did not turn the ball over and they did not commit one single penalty. In wars like this that is critical....it's the difference between advancing or going home. Hand it to Houston...they are a very solid team and will be a AFC South powerhouse for the next few years at least. Their defensive line was faster and controlled the line of scrimage. The Ravens O line couldn't get anything going all day. Lethargic...that's how they looked compared to the Terxans high moter D. The Texans were not going to let Ray Rice beat them and Ray basicly had no where to run (21 for 60 yards 2.9 ypc). So Joe was hamstrung. His line wasn't getting the job done. Generally his receivers were too slow to get open and they dropped some balls. On a day when the O appeared to be playing in slow motion compared to the Houston D, Joe was patient. He didn't make the costly turnover. Foster had a great game but Yates sunk them (28.8 QB rating ).... "I knew you'd screw up so I made sure I didn't make any costly turnovers. Thanks." The truth is that the Ravens D pitched a shut out for the second half. They had to do to get the win. The Ravens made the big plays. The turnovers (great game Webb!), Evans spectacular catch and Boldin's solid 4 for 73 and 1 TD day.
