True... The game is won in the trenches and the Ravens faded there in the playoffs. The O line was a disappointment, in fact they looked bad at times and that sabotaged the offense.... but remember...Houstons D is very good. The Houston D got burned early but give them credit for staying focused. Redding looked slow, Cody must have hit some kind of wall. Ngatas injury hurt his impact...so Suggs was double teamed. Kruger is good but not an impact player yet. JJ looked slow. Birk got eaten alive by Wilfork.... Nevertheless, despite weak line play, the Ravens came within a catch of being in the Super Bowl. Not mentioned is the 3 INT's against Houston and Yates 28.8 QB rating. For all that running, Foster only got 1 TD and the D held them to 13 points. That's a good day. Not mentioned is Bradys 2 INT's and 57 QB rating. The D got the job done for the most part. They sacrificed the run to stop Brady and his arm. To play run first was to invite disaster. I have to agree that the O line once again has to be improved or 2012 won't be fun. Changes have to be made on the D front 7 also.

I don't think Parcells belongs there either.

I hope they get Manning. He's cleared to take a hit but he can't throw anymore.

Holy Shit! FANTASTIC! Finally they realize a player for his all around ability and not just one stat.

The Ravens winning record is damn good....one of the best in the past decade so they know how to run an NFL franchise. They cut Heap, Gregg, Mason, McGahee and McClain last year despite emotions. There's more heading out of town this year. They cut Billick and his fat contract.If they had somebody to replace Ray and Ed we'd see them. They are not on the roster at this time so you go with your best. Instead of replacing Ray and Ed they got other stars like Suggs, Ngata, Rice, Flacco, Webb, maybe soon to be Jimmy Smith, Torry Smith. Getting emotional is not the problem.

What did Ozzie pay him? A million dollars a catch?

It's like the moth to the flame for me Dee. I have to watch it and torture myself by thinking the Ravens would beat these guys.

Even if he plays he can't be effective. Crav could cover him. Pollard might have won the G men a Super Bowl. Crav...we're not getting over this one ever. Too much was at stake and on the line. History. Legend. There will always be that "could have happened if" wild thoughts and .....that "fairy tale ending of Ray and Ed heading off into the HOF sunset with Super Bowl rings". Flacco getting respect. Maybe Ray Rice gets MVP. Ozzie adding to his legacy and legend. I can go on and on....

When I think of "play like a Raven" I think of JJ. It's a cold business...I don't want to lose JJ, but they can get somebody younger and faster at that position....but getting a relentless, physical madman like him? Not so easy. Ozzie said he's always looking for and trying to get pass rushers. I don't know what injuries these guys were battling towards the end of the season, but JJ and Redding looked like they really slowed down. Ngata hid an injury all season long that stopped him from destroying the league. Cody started to fade....even McPhee. Their lack of production/pressure allowed teams to focus on shutting down Suggs. That's a statement "We don't have to worry about these guys, only Suggs." The truth is that some O lines like Houston and the Pats were pushing them around....so...this is one place the Ravens can get better and have to get better.

Look at how 1 dropped pass affected this franchise and so many careeers Catch it and: Ray Lewis and Ed Reed retire with possibly 2 rings and probably the greatest ever at their positions. Joe skyrocketed into the upper echelons of QB's...and get's one huge fat contract. Harbaughs well on the road to legend status. Evans defines his career and earns his pay. Many players on this roster see their value go up. Cam becomes an OC Guru. Win the Super Bowl...which I think they would...and this franchise is one of the NFL's best...no debate. Alright....I'm stretching things a little....

I'm warming up to the Caldwell hire. I'm sure there is a ton he can teach Joe after the years he's spent with Manning...film study, reading defenses, mechanics, hot reads, audibles... He can be a good resource for Cam as far as adding some new twists to this offense like some new routes.
