  1. The line was very solid. You could say outstanding considering they played against the Steeler D because they dominated them. Joe's jersey was totally clean...he had plenty of time to throw on most pass plays. They were road grading fools against a team that is generally #1 or #2 against the run. The Ravens ran for 170 yards, the most by an opponent since the Ravens had 175 in Week 15 of the 2009 season. On Rice's short TD run Birk and Yanda blew open a hole...Hampton had a rough day against Birk. Maybe age has caught up with the Steelers because an overweight and out of shape McKinnie dominated.
  2. I was there too BHon...hell'ova party. I hear it's the same thing...ankle. Williams played one hell of a good game. It will be fabulous if he and Smith can play together.
  3. Peyton's gonna make a ton of money this year regardless of wether or not he plays. That's the crazy part. The interesting part is how he wanted to protect the team. Hell...he's filthy rich so I guess taking $26 mill for possibly doing nothing bothers his conscience.
  4. Ok...if this team stays healthy the sky is the limit.
  5. GO MEXICO'S TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Not good.... If it's a high ankle, then that could mean half the season or more.
  7. You don't get off so easy....Ravens special teams punked the steelers on that 2 point conversion. Ravens win that phase too. "We gotta get out of here!"
  8. They are now 1-12 on opening day.
  9. Everything else was perfect but why?....whhy???...do you have Jimmy Smith playing Special Teams? He's the cornerstone CB. They guy you are depending on to be a true #1. He gets injured on the opening kick off in one of the biggest games of the regular season. Kudos to Pagano and the other corners who stepped up but this is the only black mark on what was a perfect punking of the Steelers. The beginning of McAlisters downfall was Billick having him returm punts and then he got hurt...and was never the same physically. After that, he started to get beat on plays he always could cover. Then the head issues matured. Any word on Smith?
  10. The Browns were picked to beat the Bengals at home...they are now 1-12 in home openers. Crav...can you get me the link for the Browns board?

    Week 1

"...and they were sent out into the weeping and knashing of teeth."
  12. The Steelers really looked bad. They were slower, not physical and 3 plays into the 2nd half talking to themselves. Hardly any Steeler fans at the stadium and they were one sorry looking lot.
  13. "DEATH!!!!! DEATH TO THE RAVENS HATERS!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks crav! That got me pumped up this morning. Ravens football...love it. Can't wait to see not just the Ravens vets but the young starters....to see how well they perform under fire.
  15. Ray just started talking like that this year. He's getting focused on bowing out. Super Bowl or not, I think this is Rays last season. Motivation to play the game is everything for him and that is shifting to life after football. Age, injury...the grind...Father Time gets him this year. Think about it: 16 years at one of the most ferocious positions in the NFL. Friggn'n miracle to survive that. 585,000 head on collisions.
  16. It's very simple. When Mike writes stuff that I like and agree with, then he's "Right On!"...almost a genius. If I don't like it, then he's a moron and liar with an agenda. This is a perfectly acceptable poster practice according the 'Rights and Rules for Proper Poster Etiquette on NFL Message Boards'.
  17. He's damn lucky to have a job.
  18. 19 carries for 45 yards...2.4ypc. They ain't running.
  19. Pollard is weak in coverage...plain and simple...Zibby is better and Nakamura probably even better. Pagano will be using packages for the three of them to maximize their strengths. I don't think the Ravens are worried about the Steelers rushing attack. So Pollard won't be a big need Sunday. It's the big play passes.
  20. To stop Groundhog Day...to stop the same result from happening again and again against the Steelers.... Can somebody other than Suggs make a play? It's that obviously simple but very hard for the Ravens to do. We see them make tons of plays against other teams but against the Steelers the Ravens playmakers clam up....especially in crunch time. Ed..."When Rthlsslxxbrrgrrr goes to beat Smith and Williams over the top....which he will...BE THERE!" "Don't be a Spectator!" Joe: "$%@&%$*!!@!!#().......It's Friggn'n Obvious!"
  21. That was fun to read. Let us hate each other but also rejoice that we get to see football as it was meant to be played week after week. You never have to fear an opponent when you have defenses like the Ravens and Steelers. You will always be in every game with a chance to win. Defense rules. Points surrendered rules. I'll never forget the porous Ravens D's of '96 and '97. Every 4th quarter the Ravens had the lead and then we had to watch, helplessly, as the D melted. You knew they would. They couldn't stop anybody. It was a sick feeling...kind of like being a Brown fan.
  22. Garrard will what to start or compete to start and about 6-7 teams could use him over who they have. He'll want starter pay...and get it somewhere.
  23. It's not your imagination. The most morons behind the wheel are here and DC.
  24. Knock off the bs crav. This is why you go there...
