In Taylors defense, he was running for his life. When the line gives you about a second to throw it's a little hard to look good. I still think he's better than the vet options out there. The scrap heap vets would have done worse than Taylor under that pressure. Holding those 2 thoughts...the Ravens are screwed if Joe goes down. Maybe they could go Jumbo and run the ball 50 times a game. They need some Mighty Men on the O line. Now...after watching the Skins steamroll the Steelers last night I'm feeling a lot better about opening day.

Side note: If Stallworth gets one more catch tonight, then he'll equal his total for last season.

I think the word is out that the Ravens linebackers can't pass protect. The secondary was out of sync. So they couldn't get off the field and time of possesion was a lopsided 35 to 24. Can't win like that. 3 for 12 on 3rd down? Uh-uh. Yea...Torrey Smith didn't show up. The O line is the biggest worry. Hopefully it's just rust. The fundamentals of blocking and tackling weren't there. That can be worked on. The Ravens ran the ball well. 5.4 ypc. But...I loved watching the 'Scrimage of the Unknowns' last night after 7 months of no football.

1. Ravens have to tackle better. 2. They may not need to sign a receiver. 3. We're screwed if Oher gets injured...same for Flacco. 4. D could not get off the field on 3rd down. Pass coverage not there. 5. Major Riddle the Ravens face: Do you bring in a QB who has proven he can't win as a starter, to be ahead of Taylor on the depth chart?

LaQuan Williams looked solid. He's a YAC guy. Taylor settled down in the 4th. 13-6 Iggles.

Pollard playing well...blitzing and has an interception. Kruger is playing fast and on a mission. Got a sack of Young. Kindle is flying all over the field playing with reckless abandon. The tackling has been poor. Koch and Cundiff are back in form. Tyrod Taylor is lost...he had a wide open Smith on the sidelines but couldn't make the throw or it would have been at least 3 more points before the half. Ray Rice ran well. Pita is getting open...has at least 3 catches...one spectagular...and 1 drop. Cody collapsing the middle. Arthur Jones looks good. Ngata batted down a pass as Kindle applied the pressure. Can I get you a beer Dee?

Tonight I'll try to keep reminding myself that what I'm watching, is not the Baltimore Ravens....or Eagles for that matter. The rosters are loaded with 90 guys who've had all of 7 full practices. The starters will barely see playing time and then it all breaks down to chaos.

I've had visions of Flacco getting hammered, hurried, running for his life and dumping the ball off. Because of the line and because the TE and rookie WR's either can't get open or are running wrong routes. That would leave Joe with Bouldin [who will be double covered] and Ray Rice. He lost 2 safety valves in Mason and Heap...he could afford to lose 1...but 2 is really rolling the dice. The best way to work Smith and Doss in would have been for Joe to have 2 targets he can count on. He doesn't.
