  1. "Stop listening to the callers on talk radio."
  2. Look...the Colts are 4 and 25 in pre season games since 2005. That's how important the scores are.
  3. Just a wild guess...Fox may be around the 25th ranked CB IMO. He's starting material on most teams. He doesn't stink, but he doesn't excell....I'd say he's 'fairly' solid. I thought Wilson was better but Ozzie over paid for Foxworth because he was over a barrell at that time. When 'alls said and done', if it's my team, Foxworth is the #2 corner. He's good for that.
  4. LOL! Did you see Pittsburgh a week ago against the Redskins? They looked weak and pathetic. Now they are some juggernault... Vick handed them the game on a silver platter Thursday night...the "All Hype Team". The Steelers are not that good as Thursday night and not that bad as the Indigenous Persons game. Reminder: It's game 2 of an extremely shortened pre season and no off season. All teams are struggling to get up nto speed. The play is sloppy. The Ravens...BTW...only gave up 2 sacks. Joe struggled with his consistency because he has almost all new receivers to get used too. The over throws on Bouldin are TD's if it was Evens. He'll get the timing down. The O Line was Rheid, Cousins and Matteson...come on. They are trying to bring these guys up to speed right now before Birk and Yanda take over. The line did show improvement since last week.
  5. "WTF you talking about? The Ravens are gonna kick their ass!"
  6. That was sweet! Yea...Play of the Game. Taylor played better last night. If he was running around, then it was because his receivers weren't open. He made some nice throws. It's beginning to look like if he has a line and some protection, then he could be an accurate passer. He's starting to grow on me. Leach's hit and Ray Rice's TD run were nice. Evans 43 yard catch and run was just a breath of fresh air. To see real yac yards is something we've been missing.
  7. The secondary is getting better too. We'll see Friday night if they have taken some forward steps.
  8. This is all I can find. From Today And This....
  9. I think of Rex and I see him licking a foot. I don't get that image with Harbaugh.
  10. It's August 16th and I'm looking toward this game. Now I'm not totally pumped up because it's too far away but I'm watching the preseason games wondering "Can this Ravens Team win opening day?" I looking for the matchups, the strengths and weaknesses. Right now, with little to go on but one meaningless preseason game, neither team looked like a super bowl contender. Neither looks like they can open the season on a dominant run. But we know better. Both teams will look different and ready to go all out opening day.
  11. The Ravens definately need to get Ngata signed to a new contract but as far as the CAP situation and helping this team, I think it's too late. The good centers and RT's are gone. It will provide some depth money...some guys will get cut before the final rosters are set and the Ravens may pick up a bargan but not an impact guy. This might help get a slappy, scrap heap back up QB....but they might be worse than Taylor under pressure. That's why they arte back ups. The Ravens got damn lucky with Evans.

    Help Wanted

I listened to Cams full presser today and Walker has a short update on the O line from Cam...

Eisenberg backs up my first post of this thread as far as the running game goes...

    Help Wanted

I doubt if there is any CAP money left. They still have to sign Raubach IMO...no money for that probably. All this means is Ngata has to get signed or the 2011 roster will come out of the 90 players they have on hand now.
  15. There's a sign outside the Castle: Help Wanted for Offensive Line. Even Steve Bichiotti is using his billion dollar talent seach company to solve this riddle. It's that desperate. Joe Plantania has some sobering thoughts on the situation and who's out there... First let's get the facts out.. Here's some suggestions from Joe... It's the 'Curse of Kip Vickers'!!!
  16. I feel the same way. Now the rookies can shuffle in and out of that 3rd WR spot and grow without killing the passing game.
  17. It happened during Bush's Presidency and Obama seems to be unable to stop the bleeding. We tanked fast since 9/11. Looks like the terrorists won. In the end it was money that brought down the Wall and the U.S.S.R....the arms race. Now it's our turn.
  18. Let's be openminded about this. It could work.
  19. Cousins is practicing at guard and Cary Williams is playing with the first team D. According to Harbaugh, Williams has earned the shot ahead of Webb and Carr. Cousins?...they are just trying to find a place for him. Looks like a panic move in case Yanda has to play RT. Maybe Cousins, with his good hands, can at least road grade.
  20. Coach probably saw the game tape...
  21. "We'd never do that here!"
  22. Thank you cbs! And then there's this gem...
  23. Don't worry! It's OK. Cousins wasn't trying to pass protect! Next Friday night it might be the feet. Then maybe the feet and hands for the 3rd pre season game. Then maybe feet, hands and head. We'll be fine.

And that pisses me off! Mason, Stallworth, Bouldin, and Housh are not fast, but they are savy vets. They can find the open spot. The QB just has to read and react fast. If Cam would have sent them with that intent...to locate the mismatch...it would have been there play after play. If not, Ray Rice would be there to check down to. Friggn Stallworth had had 3 catches for 46 yards last night. 15.3 avg. He only had 2!....2!! catches last year for the Ravens! You have to be creative and take risks to step out and win games. Vick does it, Rodgers does it, Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers...but not the Ravens!!!!!!
  25. Spread them out and get rid of the ball fast. That's how to beat the Steelers this year. A good defense is needed to go along with that to win the game. The Redskins showed that last night. The Steeler secondary is not that good. Can't cover 3-4 wides one on one. They break down...lose track of who covers who. Crossing patterns confused them. That makes the running game effective against a very stingy run defense. Move the ball through the air and they can't load the box and run blitz. and they're on their heels like last night. Speed...the Steelers looked slow to me...except for some of their receivers. With Evans, Bouldin, Smith, Doss, Pita/Dickson and Ray Rice there is enough speed for the Ravens there. Now...it comes down to Joe. Can he get rid of the ball fast? I don't know.
