    Floyd rumor

He can't. You saw him last year with the Titans. \He's just a name and a memory. He's got tons of money...why come out for the vet min. That ship has definately sailed.
  2. It can't be good. They have yet to find a way to ban you for over a decade.

    Floyd rumor

Masons ego won't let him be a #3....insurance guy. The Ravens have to force defenses to defend the whole field...not just the first 12 yards.
  4. He only talks about Smith running all over the place. When he starts telling us that Smith is catching anything near him like Doss, then I'll be happy as shit. What Ed said bothered me too. Jimmy Smith better get on the field soon. The news on Kindle gets better and better. For McCrary to say that is a real compliment. As for Tyrod Taylor....this is where not being at camp hurts us fans. Probably if I saw what Preston sees then I'd be in a panic. I watched Troy Smith at camp and knew he'd never make it....but fans who didn't see that called the talk shows begging for the Ravens to start him. He was inaccurate...bottom line. One great throw followed by 5-6 flubs. Great guy...great college QB/athlete but that doesn't translate to the Pros. Tebow won't translate either. This is not college. How's Flacco look Mike?

    Floyd rumor

OK...this ship has sailed...wasn't too excited about it anyway....for value/cap reasons
  6. Yea...he'll be great in run support. The Ravens haven't given up a rushing average over 4.0 in 15 straight seasons and it looks like it will be 16 this year. That would be a new NFL record.
  7. At the moment the Ravens are 3.58 mil below the CAP. There are 7 teams who have to make major cuts tomorrow when all teams have to be under the CAP. Maybe some solid players shake loose. The Ravens would gain another $5 mil if the get Ngata's deal worked out and I hear they are trying real hard.
  8. I'm going with Tyrod Taylor after looking at that list. No chance of winning with any of those guys. I think the Ravens would rally around and fight harder for 'one of their own' than QB's they have no respect for. If Flacco goes down for any significant time then the seasons over...whoever the back up is.

    Floyd rumor

I don't know if I want him but only 1 vet WR starting is a scary propspect. Can Smith and Doss and Dickson get it done along with Bouldin?
  10. There is a radio and internet rumor from last night that Floyd got on a plane heading for Baltimore. Mason is visiting the Yets so maybe he knows the door is closed here. We just might see some action at WR today.
  11. What a loser!

Nice crav...it's good to see you having good clean fun. Our family has countless evenings of fun betting on how many flies get glued to our living room centerpiece...
  13. I know you're talking about things as they stand right now, but 8-8!!?!! Wow! The Ravens odds at going 8-8 are as good as this guys odds are for getting out from under the love of his life.
  14. I got to find out more about him....he's 34...one year younger than Birk....but if he's healthy then he's a solid vet with experience...but it looks like he wants a ton of money.
  15. Casey Hamptom's licking his chops.

    Unreal

I'm printing the whole thing... You live 80 years and then have a stunt like that pulled on you.
  17. And Sock wouldn't let us forget it.
  18. My first Brown recruit...
  19. He's like Belicheat. Old School. He's not giving nothing away. The more I find out about him, the more I like. He's tuff as nails, intense and driven to win.
  20. Nice article by John Eisenberg. It gives and over view of how young this team is becomming over night. He calls the Ravens Generation Next. PS..... 9 of the Steelers defensive players are over 30. They'll be good, but slower. It's youth and speed vs age and experience. Roll the dice.
  21. Another red flag...
  22. "You mean 'suck worse' right? They already suck."
  23. The Ravens have no proven vet RB to replace Rice if he gets injured. I think they should get one but then I look at the choices: McClain, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams...I don't see any of them helping this team except in short yardage. Here's the FA list: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=9&action=upsell&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffa%3fpositionId%3d9 Anthony Allen can pound it in short yardage. Right now I'd rather stick with youth and speed instead of old legs...of course I could be regretting that by game 2 of the pre season. Leach will make them all be better.
  24. The Ravens may have their toe in the water but I bet that's all. The price is not right; 1st or 2nd round draft pick plus a new contract...and he wants serious money. And the player might not be right. He's a 4-3 DE. For the price they would pay him he needs to be on the field for 3 downs. I think his production in a 3-4 would decline by 50%. I could be wrong on that but that's my thoughts for now. Great player...I just don't see the fit.
  25. Something is wrong with Birk. You don't bring in an ageing vet who's lost enough from his game that the Redskins cut him. Raubach can't handle the nose tackles he'll face on the Ravens schedule. He couldn't handle them in DC. The Ravens have 3 UFA centers in camp and the first look at them must not have been good...maybe one of them is a year or two away from being able to compete at this level and the Ravens need insurance. Casey does bring the vet experience but he will hinder the smashmouth game the Ravens are after. Not excited about this signing but it looks like the Ravens were forced to do it.
