  1. Yea...and he had Orton throwing to him...have to factor that in. T.O will be 37 next season BTW. Wow...Vincent Jackson a Raven...that would break the bank and the CAP.
  2. Mark Claytons numbers for 2009. That does not get the job done for a #2 WR. It stinks actually. Kelly Washington as a #3 has 34 receptions for 431 yards with far less playing time. Nothing new is statuing the obvious...receiver is the big weak link in the Ravens offense heading into the playoffs....this is why Joe struggles and appears inconsistant at times. When teams take away Mason...and shaddow Rice...Joe takes the sack. The Brandon Marshall to Baltimore rumors are starting already but he's a restricted FA. He's done in Denver for sure. 101 receptions for 1120 yards with a 11.1 average catch and 10 TD's...the 11.1 average catch is not game breaking or a field stretching number (Mason is 14.1 for example)... but the number of catches and yards are solid. I'm having a hard time getting excited about this guy...don't like woman beaters and the shit he stired this year in Denver is more smoke that warns of fire.
  3. 24 hours latter...I still think Joe wasn't reading the blitz right, was slow and missed his reads on open receivers. Just a guess...I think he would rather take the sack than force the ball to marginally open receivers...he didn't want to turn the ball over given the way the game was unfolding. The Ravens led all the way and were running well. Only a costly turnover would let the Radiers back into the game. In Harbaughs press conference he admitted that some guys were open the Joe didn't see and those would have been big plays. Speaking of big plays...Yesterday was similar to Ravens football of the past...19 passes...lots of rushes...with the opportunity for 2-3 big plays. Joe didn't make the big play yesterday but he protected the ball. He didn't panic and force things. That coolness is needed to win in the playoffs. But to win in the playoffs some risks need to be taken too in order to get some big plays. Joe will have to find a way to do this against the Pats. It always boils down to a few plays a game as to who wins...who makes them and who doesn't. And Turnovers...they are playoff killers. Final Note: Anita Marks said half the QB's in the league wouldn't be playing with the pain that Joe has. He is injured...serious bruising...so let' s give him a break...we don't know the whole story. I do know he needs some help...his receivers (#2 & 3)...
  4. I heard Harbaughs press conference today and he said Matt is an excellent long snapper...he's making all the snaps perfectly in practice and pre game and that he will get through this. He down played any injury talk on Matt...just said he has a little stiffness. Must be some adjustment that he needs to make during the game...during live action...I guess it's all in the head if his physical technique is so good...and he has been very good for a long time...so good we never talk or think about him. The bad snaps have to end now or it could cost a playoff win. On the 51 yard FG attempt, Harbs said Cundiff was making 51 yarders pre game and Harbs wanted an 11 point lead. He took the chance believing the D would stop the Raiders in the redzone...and they stopped them before they got there.
  5. The Colts are on a 2 game losing streak after being spanked by the Bills 30-7. Let's take it one game at a time but they don't scare me.
  6. Where the Pats suddenly became weaker plays into the Ravens weakness...the passing game. Hopefully it's a wash. If it is then I love the Ravens chances.
  7. He dropped a few and was shut down. He should man up and change his name. The whole team was soft.
  8. The Ravens caught a break from the schedule makers. A Saturday game would have been brutal.
  9. I think this was in the back of our minds...maybe the front...after watching yesterdays game. It's certainly on my mind. Mike Preston phrases the question very well... When Russell came in and continued to shread the D, I became very concerned. Thankfully he returned to his old self. With Webb I think the pass D would hold up but now that he's gone there are too many bandaids.
  10. Interesting point from Valkenberg...
  11. Brady has at least 1 broken rib and a broken index finger on his throwing hand.

LOL! 27-0 at the half. Palmer's 1-11 for 0 yards and an INT...for a 1.7 QB rating!....his receivers have at least 4 drops...2 on Ocholookatmeo I've never seen anything like it. Never

So far the Bengals are getting burried 2 minutes left in the half and they have gained a total of 7 yards! Ochobabyo has 0 catches...Palmer's 1 for 10...39 QB rating...

LOL! From a Ravens fan over at ESPN...
  16. Unfinished business game. Can't touch Tom...don't even breathe near him....I hope it's not a Saturday game with all the traveling the Ravens are doing.
  17. That needs to be posted! 2 years in a row...6 out of the last 10...Thank You Ravens!
  18. Great idea cleetz. Can Flacco see that many guys in a few seconds? I don't think so and maybe that's why Cam doesn't do it. Spreading the D out slows the rush and opens the passing lanes up.

    Ellerbe

LOL! You can bet the team will rag on him when they watch the film. Another undrafted gem. He busted his way into the lineup in one year.
  20. Schmuck...like everybody here sees the same thing... He's taking way too long to get rid of the ball...doesn't seem to be reading the blitz correctly...or has no outlet on the blitz which is even worse...and was not accurate today. He had guys wide open but couldn't make the throw. Take him off the valuim. Joe getting the snap from center: "Hum-De-Dum..the line should give me 10 seconds to throw(Yawn)...ok let's see what we got here...oh well! Too late to hit Mason...where's Ray? Hum-De-Dum...he's double covered...There's other receivers out there somewhere... but where?
  21. Great day... W. McGahee 16 rushes for 167 yards at 10.4 YPC and 3 TD's. What do you make of this guy!?! He's a point a minute for playing time...a TD machine...the Ravens are loaded at RB. Loaded. Willis saved the day. Period. Well...Willis and great blocking by the O line... Great blocking from Grubbs...
  22. Clayton is a wasted starting position. With Assaguuumahh shutting down Mason this was a great opportunity for Williams to burn that secondary. With the stacked box...a little play action...7!
  23. Couldn't agree more. The way they stacked the box is an OC's dream come true. However, historically, the Ravens rarely beat it with the big play. I don't get it.
  24. But on a day when he was asleep at the wheel, at least Joe didn't commit the costly and fatal turnover. Nevertheless...Joe has to wake up. The 240 yards rushing was sweet.
