vmax Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 OK...2 run homer by Jones...2-1 in the 9th. Now...who closes out the game?
dc. Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Three up. Three down. In what, 10 pitches? Struggling. If you can't get'm out on pitch one, don't pitch.
varaven45 Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 DC, Awesome job by JJ and helluva comeback against Rivera.
dc. Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Brooksy gets the benefit of fielding it cleanly; in a sense Manny was creating his own highlight ... but Manny's throw was unreal.
vmax Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It's just awesome that we can talk about plays like that and players like Manny. Times have changed for the better. Lost in all the O's fever is Markakis (3 hits). He's hitting .455 this month...10 for 22.
cravnravn Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Sigh, the Texas Buzz-Saw has invaded Camden Yards
cravnravn Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Great text conversation between my grand son and I yesterday evening.. "Hey Pop, you know who this old guy is?" Me: Boooooooooooooooooooooggg " why are you booing him Pop" LOL Kids
varaven45 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Texas buzz saw indeed. Are they that good or are we In yet another funk? We seem to be in this win 1, lose 2 in a 3 game series mode. Time to lay some wood on those Rangers
dc. Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Rangers have been very good, is part #1. But our bats have been in a minor funk. Starters have been in a major funk. Hoping Chen can start to straighten things out a bit.

varaven45 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Nice performance and what a boost by Chen. Let's see where his performance leads the team And especially the starting rotation
cravnravn Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Thats why next season, Price from the Rays is a FA, its in our best interest to get him at any cost.
Spen Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Send Manny down to work on catching infield pop ups!
varaven45 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Not enough Davis, too much Hammel today .Oh and Toronto has one helluva bullpen. Reminds me of ours last season.
cravnravn Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Playoff Push Starts Now!!!! Yankmees @ Boston.....Hmmmmmmmm standings say root for the Yankmees Tampa @ Toronto....Since Tampa is ahead of us by 2 games, Commmmmmmmeee onnnnnn Blue Jays
dc. Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Really excited to hear Henry Urrutia is being called up. He was destroying AA and AAA - as he should have, coming as a 26 year old vet from Cuba - but I think he can continue it in the majors. I am hoping he can be a spark in that DH spot against righties. And while his defense isn't great, he can spell McLouth or Markakis as necessary.
cravnravn Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Nicks rob of Beltre HR was the #1 Web Gem on ESPN, it was a thing of beauty http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/19/nick-markakis-catch-adrian-beltre-home-run-video_n_3626768.html
