Activate Mellette and bring back Doss. Unless you want to sign another ex-Colt in Collie, too late in the year to expect a vet to come in learn the offense and make an impact. As far as I'm concerned T. Smith and Marlon Brown are the starters, Stokley is the slot and Mellette is the next guy. With that said, we absolutely cannot afford to have only four receivers active. If someone goes down we are screwed. Doss has to be the guy brought back because he is a good gunner on ST.

Hopefully Deonte Thompson will be back soon. Not only are we down a receiver, we are also down a game changing return man. That has not been stated enough.

It's bad when Doss is needed.

I'm against bringing in anybody off the street. After watching Stokely and Clark, I don't need to see more old slow guys at a position that most definitely needs speed and athleticism.

Yea...they need Thompson bad.

The Steelers have a guy on their practice squad that would fit perfectly. Justin Brown he almostade the team but Moye was a much better blocker. He was OU kick returner and showed he has some hands and you know nobody is better then the Steelers when it comes to evaluating wrs.

I've been pushing for Lloyd all summer but I just read that he is apparently reluctant to sign with anyone... Maybe taking the year off or about to retire?

Cribbs was a guy that I was intrigued with when I saw he was cut, but they are saying he hasn't been the same since he came back from his last injury.

Jenkins or Doss sound like the best options to me, but we don't have a roster spot.

Hey I was just making a suggestion and stating a fact.

I know, you always say that. But in actuality you were stating an opinion and its a tactic you have used many times to turn threads toward your team. Were you trying that this time? I don't know, but you were not stating facts and your track record is suspect.

I think we are just fine with Torrey, Brown, Stokley, Mellette and Doss/Thompson as the fifth guy. It's tight-end I'm worried about.

Me too.

Well stated. And as for TE, bring in Furstenberg from the cold.

Not at all and this is the last thing I'm going to say Holmes, Wallace, Brown, Sanders, and Wheaton to only one bust in Sweed. That's a great track record. If I were going to pick up an olinemen I would look on the pats roster or a running back the ravens. When in need you go to the team that evaluates that position the best is all I was saying.
