Ravens apparently lose Kapron Lewis-Moore for the season

A promising young defensive lineman will spend his second NFL season in the same place he spent his rookie year — on the sidelines.

Defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, listed as a second-string defensive end behind starter Chris Canty, has suffered during Sunday’s practice what appears to be a torn Achilles’ tendon. Coach John Harbaugh made the disclosure to reporters earlier in the hour.

Lewis-Moore, a sixth-round pick in 2013, spent all of last year on the Non-Football Injury list, due to a knee injury suffered in college. He played in Thursday night’s preseason opener, notching a tackle and an assist.

The Ravens will now have to decide whether to continue to carry Lewis-Moore on the 90-man roster until the first wave of cuts, or to release him with the “injured” designation and hope no one else claims him on waivers.

Asa Jackson also went down. Looked bad at first but now Aaron Wilson is reporting a minor ankle injury.

Well at least some good injury news.

The deepest part of the team is now thinner. The depth at DE is now thin.

He was playing smart agressive ball....feel real bad for him.
