I hope Ray gets help and one day, some day, is forgiven instead of being crucified as the media and society continue to pile on. It's hard to imagine how one mistake could ruin a man's life and passion. Such a travesty and sad day, regardless of whether you are a football fan. That is the thing; he has already and continues ot be getting counseling. It is not as if this is a new case, it is the same one, everything has already been, so why are the Ravens and league reacting like this now? Because of public pressure. They knew as soon as the tape came out there would be picket lines at every NFl stadium for the foreseable future. That is the only reason, and being the only reason, both moves are wrong. Though i do agree he should have been suspended for a year, I don't think the cutting of him nor of the indefinate suspension are in order since he already has met any and all counseling the league would mandate to get back into the league. TMZ, according to them, and they are not the most reputable source, went to the casino and asked for the tape- they were gven it by the casino, not a rogue employee, according to them. 2) No, the casino closing had nothing to do with it, they have not said why they waited until now, but I have a good suspicion. This will only go way when the NFL & the Ravens explain why either they viewed the tape before yesterday and did nothing or why they did not try & view the tape. Only then will this go way. I think for certain, this team is going to be completely distracted a & flat thursday, and get destroyed by Pit. I hope I am wrong.... and, there will be protesters all around the stadium, some inside the stadium this week and maybe the week after, hough the 10 day layoff will help some. The timing was perfect froma news stand point. This week would have been Ray's last week of suspension- 2 games in one week. With a 10 day layoff, the best thing to do is let it out there the first week of the NFL season when it will be the most distracting, casue the most "trouble" for the league. That the defense team for Ray, also had the tape.... So how come neither the Ravens nor the league had it, sure, sure they didn't. this tinks to high heavens, that is why Biscutt is mad, he knows we aint dumb.Mort also said he was told what was on the vid months ago. When it released he said it confirmed everything that was told. He also wondered why the NFL didn't get that description. I wish those reporters would speak back up and say wait a minute I have sources that day this. They never would because it would risk exposing their sources.
