RICE'S CAP HIT

It doesn't matter.

It's the cost of doing the right thing.

The team will get it back with respect and goodwill because they did what was right.

The dark cloud that could take 10 years to remove is gone.

The team, and their salary's, are free to play football and not live in a circus.

They saved money this yr. Somehow that was possible. The $9 mil counts on the 2015 books. So say goodbye to Ngata and some other guys.

Especially the way he played yesterday. With Brandon Williams taking up 2-3 blockers up the middle, Ngata should have

been open and in the back field more often even if he is injured. A lot of fans are calling for his dismissal next year,

and his CAP savings. I think his CAP hit was $16M this year and last year.

Definitely good bye to Ngata, but dont forget the CAP will go up a few mil next year too.

But it goes up for every team. So every team will be increasing their offers and the Ravens will not since they have a tone of dead money

And Joe's cap hit will be going up soon so that will wipe out any cap increases.

It is a tad lower than this yr.

It'll be reworked don't you think, I maintain it was a 3 yr deal

Back ending a bad deal will be another poor idea.

I think you do IF he says no.

He does have a history of saying no to the Ravens.

Joe is not going to rework his contract, he's wants his money, Joe is not a team player, he showed us that last year when he was on the field running plays with his hands in his pockets and not trying to sell the play. he showed us that when he wanted as much money as he could get out of the ravens with his free agent contract. Joe is greedy and selfish, so don't at all be surprised when Joe refuses to give the ravens a more cap friendly deal.

Yeah but the team has some leverage over Flacco, By the time the third year is over and you go into the 4th year, his cap hit is higher than the dead money that would accrue. At that point they could trade him or cut him. There's no way they should take on a $28 million cap hit.
