cravnravn Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Let the off season bull shit beginhttp://bal.247sports.com/Bolt/Warrant-Issued-For-Will-Hills-Arrest-35143120
papasmurfbell Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 N ot a huge deal. He may have missed a court hearing accidentally.
cravnravn Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 OK so we starting small, he's 16 g's behind on child support, I dont think he "forgot" a court date
papasmurfbell Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Judges don't normally issue arrest warrants just for being behind. They issue them when you don't show to court to deal with being behind.
Robjr83 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm sure court skipped his mind. It's like forgetting to buy milk or paying the electric bill.
Tornado700 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm thinking 4 game suspension...I'm thinking 0 game suspension. He'll pay the 16K and it all goes away.
papasmurfbell Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm sure court skipped his mind. It's like forgetting to buy milk or paying the electric bill.I have seen where a hearing was scheduled and one party didn't know anything about it. Look at the Hope Solo DV case. Her sister and nephew didn't show to a deposition that was scheduled suddenly and the charges are dismissed. I'm thinking 0 game suspension. He'll pay the 16K and it all goes away.Agreed.
varaven45 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I hope it's non issue ; otherwise we add 1 more player to make Super Bowl - previous thread .
oldno82 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I hope you guys are right. The league seems to be really cracking down on bad behavior.
papasmurfbell Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Child support is not what they are cracking down on.
varaven45 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Not yet but with the "new norm" one never knows. Regardless of the outcome, the FO needs to keep a close eye on this guy. We don't need another newsworthy off season.
papasmurfbell Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 There is no new norm for child suppport. If a player got caught taking a leak in an alley he wouldn't get a suspension either. Non violent non drug issues are not going to get you a suspension.
dapetes Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Its a pity a deadbeat sperm donor was even capable of spawning. The gene pool has taken another hit. Get rid of him quickly.
vmax Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 ................. If a player got caught taking a leak in an alley he wouldn't get a suspension either. ......... I bet he would if it got caught on video.
papasmurfbell Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I bet he would if it got caught on video.I doubt that.
varaven45 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 After what we've witnessed this year in the NFL, from Rice to Peterson to deflate gate, and in today's society, EVERYTHING is subject to scrutiny and some form of penalty.
papasmurfbell Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 OK please explain to me how knocking a woman out, whipping a small child to the point of tearing skin even on his scrotum, and not having paid a debt equate in anyway in severity?
Tornado700 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Non payment of child support is a civil issue. When it becomes flagrant to the point that deadbeat dad hasn't made a payment in 4 or 5 years and has failed to appear after being duly served with subpoena, then the case can be taken to the state's attorney's office with a request to criminally charge him. It does happen. That's the only way to sentence a guy to jail for this offense. Arrest warrants can also be issued for civil matters. I've served enough of them. Hill needs to pay the freakin' money and get his head out of his arse.
