tsylvester Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Between 140 and 143 million butter beans.... per ESPN via the NFL, @ $1.5 mil more than expected.... Quote
oldno82 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I think that's only going to give us about $3 million in cap space after adjusting for draft pool. Quote
Tornado700 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Ozzie WILL have to work his salary cap magic once again with this team. Big time. Quote
TBird Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Brian McFarland was on 105.7 fm today saying thatRavens are currently $5.16M over the CAP. Quote
thundercleetz Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Still a couple of moves to be made with Ngata and Webb, possibly an extension with Koch. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Officially $143.8 million, or $10 million more than last year. Per CBS News, every team, but the Rams, have carried over cap space from last year, Jags lead the list bringing over $22 mil from last year. The Ravens have an adjusted cap #, of.... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/02/team-by-team-adjusted-cap-numbers/ Ravens – $145,131,127 adjusted cap So they have some wiggle room... Quote
oldno82 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 It ain't much: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap/2015/ They need to make moves, either extensions or and/or cuts. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 NFL needs to step in on the Rice contract, Why? If they did that, they would have to adjust the cap for every team, for every player released because of leagal issues. In other words, it won't happen. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 It's one thing if the man plays then yes we absorb the hit, to do something that causes your release, then relief should be awarded to the team. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 It's one thing if the man plays then yes we absorb the hit, to do something that causes your release, then relief should be awarded to the team. The issue is how the Ravens handled it. He was not released, in reality, because of what he did, he was released because it was caught on tape.... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Kris Jones @RavenManiac 19m19 minutes agoCary Williams is back on the market. If the Ravens re-signed him, I'd predict an epic training camp brawl with him and Steve Smith, SrThis could be a low cost option for the DB's. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The issue is how the Ravens handled it. He was not released, in reality, because of what he did, he was released because it was caught on tape....They took the mans word, I guarantee you rice told the ravens that he pushed her out of the way and he slapped her, that tape threw egg on everyones face. tsylvester Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 They took the mans word, I guarantee you rice told the ravens that he pushed her out of the way and he slapped her, that tape threw egg on everyones face. Not according to Ozzie......... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 They took the mans word, I guarantee you rice told the ravens that he pushed her out of the way and he slapped her, that tape threw egg on everyones face.Or like Ozzie and Harbs said he told the truth. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Or like Ozzie and Harbs said he told the truth. He did, til the tape came out...I guarantee the day after the incident rice told the brass this is what happened, he absolutely was a fool to believe there was no tape in a casino elevator. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 No Ozzie said Ray described what was on the tape. After the 2nd tape came out Ozzie said he told the truth to the Ravens and to Goody. Don't revise history already. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 No Ozzie said Ray described what was on the tape. After the 2nd tape came out Ozzie said he told the truth to the Ravens and to Goody. Don't revise history already. No one is revising history, he didn't tell the entire truth, if there was no tape it would have been a nice cover up. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Oh I didn't know you were in the meeting with Goody and Ray. I figured the GM who was would tell the truth but since you were there and you say Ray lied I guess we know who to believe. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Oh I didn't know you were in the meeting with Goody and Ray. I figured the GM who was would tell the truth but since you were there and you say Ray lied I guess we know who to believe. He did lie, why in the hell do you think the league suspended him indefinitely, after issuing him a 2 game suspension? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Because they scapegoated him. The federal judge effectively said Goodell was a liar. That is why he was reinstated by the judge. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I don't think he told them the entire truth, then when the tape was released, the NFL had no choice. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 So you say Harbs and Ozzie are liars? You are also saying a federal judge has it out for Goody? Quote
