tsylvester Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Whether it is the head coach making a bone headed decision (two this game) or the play calling (offense & defense), while players need to make plays, a coach's job is to 1) teach 2) prepare 3) put players in position to win. It is clear by the lack of plays being made, the bone headed mistakes being made, that this team is poorly taught, ill prepared and are not being used in a way to get the most out of them. Pick your poison today, the stupid choice to try and draw the skins off side, then call a time and go to a fake field goal. Or, waste another time for a pass from your own 48 with 1 second left in the half, leading to a sack and, more importantly, an injury to a position that can not afford one. Or maybe the way the special teams unit continues to let up big plays, major chunks of field position. Or the defense that can't cover and can't play zone because players are constantly out of position. This has been an issue now for several seasons, no matter who the players are; that is coaching. Or the lack of imagination is the offense, going away from what is working, the run with West, then not even bothering to uae play action! Their defense was terrible, but played like champs because they clearly knew what was coming after the first series.... I could go on with the issues this team has, but this post is already too long... Quote
cravnravn Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Heads need to fucking roll, I don't care who is out on the o-line, we played the worst 2 D's in the NFL the past 2 weeks and have made both look the 00 Ravens Quote
vmax Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Harbaugh better be choking Trestman and Rosberg. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 Heads need to fucking roll, I don't care who is out on the o-line, we played the worst 2 D's in the NFL the past 2 weeks and have made both look the 00 RavensOther teams use their 3rd string tackles, centers and guards and do not miss a beat. They can run screens and at least get back to the line of scrimmage, the Ravens can do neither, usually lose 3-4 yards and can barely get good consistent blocking from their starting linemen. That is coaching and that is the first place I would start firing; the line coach. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Harbaugh has regressed as a decision maker. It's like he has no feel for the game. How many points has he left on the field the last two weeks? I am also frustrated with players that either can't make a play or find a way to screw - when it happens week after week that is a reflection on the coach. These are the kinds of mistakes and miscues you don't see the good teams making. Bellicheck sending players home when they are late no matter what the weather - that tells you what he expects. No excuses - just get it done. Harbs on the other hand will make excuses for players that screw up and talk about how proud he is of their effort. Joe throws a 4 yard pass on third and 11? Stupid Perriman dropping a long pass and can't get his 2nd foot down on a potential game winning TD? This is amateur hour shit. Prepare your players Harbaugh. Quote
cravnravn Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 And I want to know why in the hell Joe can't check out of these fucking Mickey mouse plays Trestman is sending in? Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Joe is as much as fault as trestman. Trestman isn't making Joe throw short time after time on third down. Joe is the one lobbying for more deep passes right after a game where he got destroyed behind a mediocre oline. Sometimes I think he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 Flacco is averaging just over 6 yards per pass (traveling), the lowest of his career. As Moose pointed out on the broadcast, no one is winning their match up on the outside. Without Smith sr there is no true slot man, no quickness, that is Ozzie's fault. I did not expect a lot of wins this year with such a young roster at several positions. I also expected some mistakes. But not the same mistakes each game, not to lose games because of coaching... ravinmaniac52 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 hate to say this but I feel a house cleaning is needed Quote
varaven45 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 At the game today at M&T. This loss had much to do with horrible coaching and especially offensive play calling . Trest man needs to go now ! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Harbs has proven to be a suspect coach for yrs. He makes the same mistakes all the time. He has no idea what is happening on O or D so he lets his coordinators have free reign. It is time for him to be shown the door. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Jim Bob Cooter. Designs plays very well, great route combinations, a players coach.... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Over the yrs I have thought he should bring in Norv, Hue, and Arians. Any of them are fr and away better than everyone Harbs has brought in of his own free will. Quote
cravnravn Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Pags as our head coach, he's a goner. When Hue turns a 0-16 at cleveland that'll get him canned, so there's our OC, The boys in Buffalo aren't doing cartwheels over Rex, could be Pags DC. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Not sure Pags is ready for another run yet. I would suggest David Shaw or Frank Reich. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Norv just resigned as the Vikes oc. what a shocker.. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Dang ; this happened about three weeks too late Quote
Robjr83 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Norv just resigned as the Vikes oc. what a shocker.. LOL they were joking on The Fan wondering if Turner has any connection to the Harbaugh family....thats the only way he comes in Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 True. Harbs would never step out and hire someone with just a great rep. Quote
vmax Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Norv can't win anything when it counts. And his offense stunk it up this year. He's burnt out. Quote
vmax Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 That's 10,000 BC.And please look at who was on that offense. Cavanaugh would have won with them...hey...he won with 30% of that talent! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Aikman was not even that great a QB. Nor helped him. The talent helped him. Since then he made Jay Fiedler good. Norv is much better than Cam, Caldwell, or Tressman. Hell he might have been able to make this offense work well. Quote
