It would be interesting to see a team by team analysis of drafted players and incidence of injuries - minor, significant and season ending - since Harbs took the reins ca. 10 years ago. Are we at the high end, middle or bottom ?

Perhaps one of our savvy strategic posters has some thoughts ?

Some google searches were pretty much fruitless, I did find one site that tracked, or claimed to, injuries from all 32 teams over the past decade and rank them, but I was not willing to pay for that info.

One could head over to Profootball reference and do the leg work from there, they list not only all records and stats, but also IR info for each year of a team.

I did find this;

http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/38953/ravens-remain-nfls-kings-of-pain-with-league-worst-15-players-on-irRavens remain NFL's kings of pain with league-worst 15 players on IR

The loss of Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda will increase the Ravens' injured reserve list to a whopping 15 players. That not only leads the NFL but it's the total of players on IR for the rest of the AFC North teams combined. There are 23 teams -- 71 percent of the league -- who don't have half as many players on IR as the Ravens.

For the Ravens, the injuries occur more than once in a while. Over the last three seasons, the Ravens have placed 68 players on injured reserve, which are the most in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

It's 16 players now and only week 4.

Really....you can't win many games in this kind of shape. it's only a 53 man roster and and 30% of it's gone.

They have guys starting now who were released and no other NFL team picked them up off of waivers. Nobody wanted them. :scared:

Update...looks like 17...

as Urban will likely become the 17th Raven to land on injured reserve (IR), including practice squad running back Jeremy Langford. That number doesn’t account for Dennis Pitta (hip) or Zachary Orr (back/neck)...http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-926-How-Many-More-Injuries-Can-Ravens-Sustain-and-Still-Legitimately-Compete/ad009689-66e3-487d-b307-8ca121c6f18a...

“The Ravens are currently carrying 81 players on their Cap (53-man roster, 16 on IR, 10 on PS) after only the 3rd week of the season,” wrote Russell Street Report’s Brian McFarland. “That number is five more than the next closest team and 10 above the league average for IR’d players. As a comparison, the Ravens ended the 2016 season with ‘only’ 80 players counting against the Cap. They’ve now already surpassed that.”

Ravens cornerback Jaylen Hill tore his ACL and MCL in Saturday's game against the Colts and is out for the season. The undrafted rookie was a special teams player who was developing as a defensive back. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-40013795-4

And the hits keep on coming.
