vmax Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Anybody pumped up for this one? Baltimore at Minnesota (-5.5)Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)Baltimore became the second AFC North team to be humiliated by the Bears this season, losing in overtime to a Chicago team that ran at will despite possessing very little threat of a passing game. Bad news for the Ravens; Case Keenum is better right now than any quarterback on Chicago's roster, and Jerick McKinnon is a versatile multipurpose threat in the backfield. The Vikings are balanced, and their defense is stout, especially against the run. Baltimore has turned the ball over regularly, is beset by injuries, can't pass the ball, and has been trending downward since being thrashed by Jacksonville. Oh, and Minnesota senses an opportunity to seize control of the NFC North in the wake of Aaron Rodgers' broken collarbone. That all spells trouble for the Ravens.Pick: Vikings Quote

oldno82 Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I dunno...I find I'm rapidly losing interest in the games what with the NFL achieving parity (and therefore mediocrity) and the fact that the Ravens are poorly managed and have been playing non-entertaining football since 2012 with the one exception of Kubiak's season here. In addition, Joe's contract has a stranglehold on the franchise and he's not playing up to what he needs to be. I don't think he's really been the same since Kubiak left and since his knee injury. He needs to voluntarily accept a pay cut like Brady and Ben did. But that's just part of the story. The coaching is stale and the team just doesn't have any excitement and they play like it too. I can accept losing if a team is entertaining but watching the Ravens play is getting to be painful and boring. We'll see how the rest of the season goes but I'm becoming a pessimist especially with Bisciotti's not so veiled threat to sell the team if he doesn't get his way on future stadium improvements or reconstruction. 1 Quote

The combination of not winning and usually not being very entertaining takes its toll. My favorite hockey team averages a goal a game and tries to win every game 1-0 so that's pretty pitiful to watch too. Quote
vmax Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 I was out of town and did not watch the game.I see that I missed nothing except the weekly drama of this team performing worse and worse.Officially, I'm not into it this year. Quote
varaven45 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Max the offense is deplorable . It's absolutely horrendous to watch. Some have said it's as bad as the infamous 2000 offense . It's much worse. In fact to repeat an old Shannon Sharpe movie analogy, I'd say the 2000 offense is like the Titanic and this current offense is like Dude, where's my car ? !!! Quote

I'm out of town on vacation and watched it. Just imagine the Jaguars game and change the jerseys. Maybe not that bad, but close. Quote
