varaven45 Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Anyone know about his scheduled return ? Maybe thiS week ? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/ravens-hayden-hurst-nearing-return-to-practice/Now a full month removed from surgery to address a stress fracture in his foot, Hurst is unlikely to be available for Week 4 against the Steelers even if he resumes practicing within the next few days. A more reasonable target date would be Week 5, at which point he'd take his place in a timeshare with Nick Boyle, Maxx Williams and fellow rookie Mark Andrews. Though he seemingly has the highest ceiling of the bunch, Hurst doesn't project for an every-down role as a rookie, and he'd be lucky to draw more than three or four targets per game. Quote
vmax Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I'm thinking Titans game. With him and Andrews on the field...look out! Quote
tsylvester Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Just look to the Panthers tight end, Greg Olson, foot breaks with big men is not good... Quote

GrubberRaven Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 They think he may be back this week, but as Papa posted, it may be another week or two before he sees game action... Quote
oldno82 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Some optimism. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/c-j-mosley-hayden-hurst-may-return-to-practice-this-week Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/ravens-hayden-hurst-returns-to-practice-392241/ Hurst is practicing for the first time since late August when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot. The recovery timeline initially was estimated at 3-to-4 weeks, and it's now been close to five weeks since the injury was first reported. Hurst presumably will be listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, but this at least puts him on track to make his NFL debut in either Week 4 or Week 5. The first-round pick likely will enter a timeshare with Nick Boyle, Maxx Williams and fellow rookie Mark Andrews. The aforementioned trio accounts for 21 catches and 243 receiving yards, with each player averaging less than three catches and four targets per game. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Hope they play it safe and don't rush him. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I just saw Jackson was held out. That doesn't make sense. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 illness njury report: did not participate -CB Anthony Averett (hamstring), WR John Brown (NIR), CB Brandon Carr (knee), DT Willie Henry (abdomen), QB Lamar Jackson (illness), T Ronnie Stanley (foot),LB Terrell Suggs (knee), S Eric Weddle (NIR). Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 OK. I didn't see a reason why. He needs all the practice he can get. Quote
oldno82 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 uh what does NIR mean in the injury report? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Isn't that the non football IR? The kicker got that. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Non Injury Report - my assumption Quote
GrubberRaven Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 or Not Injury Related...that's probably it Quote
