vmax Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Same old, same old.... It was a nice thought for Denver fans: the chance at a three-game winning streak and a near-.500 record. But the thought went away — and quickly. The Broncos showed a glimpse of what they could do when Flacco led a 10-play, 75-yard scoring drive. It would, however, be the team's only highlight ... and score ... on the night. From the sacks to the 12 three-and-outs to the missed opportunities on defense, there isn't much to take away from Denver's performance in a game it needed to win.Flacco, who was booed by fans toward the end of the game, finished 21-of-34 passing for 213 yards with those eight sacks.....https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/three-takeaways-from-chiefs-road-win-over-the-broncos/ar-AAIX523?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP One drive. Then nothing for the rest of the game. I'm so glad we don't have to watch one more season of ineptitude.I worried that my eyes and brain would never recover after that yet miraculously Lamar has healed them.
GrubberRaven Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Terrible to watch...I hope he retires soon.Aikman was bashing him left and right
Spen Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I didn't see any last night. I looked at his numbers and they look ok, well except for 3 fumbles. I saw some footage this morning and he looked indifferent. Nothing new
GrubberRaven Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 No energy...drops back too far and doesn't step up.The Oline is bad, but damn...
papasmurfbell Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I have known what he was for the better part of a decade.
varaven45 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Joe is in the midst of long, rough patch in Denver. I hope he can right the ship (just not against us). With each passing game, It surely reaffirms that Joe caught lighting in the bottle in our SB year. IDK that Joe will ever see that again.
papasmurfbell Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 He wont. He regressed. He stopped trying to get better. He bc a check collector.
Spen Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I have known what he was for the better part of a decade. I've known how sad and insignificant you are for longer. Show me someone that toots his own horn a third as much as you and I'll show you a sad unconfident small little man..... You're a whole new level.
vmax Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 The whooping was mostly thanks to an inept offense led by Joe Flacco.A statuesque quarterback with the pocket mobility of the Castle Rock butte, Flacco was sacked a career-high eight times. It's not as if Denver was facing the '85 Bears here either. The Chiefs came in with zero -- Z-E-R-O -- sacks the past two weeks. On Thursday night, Flacco & Co. allowed K.C. to record nine total, their most in a game since 1998. 1998!......Even for the most ardent Flacco supporter, it's clear John Elway's latest solution to the comical QB carousel he's run since Peyton Manning decayed on the field isn't working.Flacco has thrown one-or-fewer passing TD in eight of his last nine games extending back to the 2018 season -- and zero in four of those tilts. We don't have to suffer through this anymore.
vmax Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Somewhere out there is a tree, tirelessly producing oxygen. I think you owe it an apology.
papasmurfbell Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I've known how sad and insignificant you are for longer. Show me someone that toots his own horn a third as much as you and I'll show you a sad unconfident small little man..... You're a whole new level. So you are saying Stephen A is sad and unconfident? I can't even come close to his level.
papasmurfbell Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 My guess is they will let Joe take a beating for a yr with a bad OL. and allow Lock to watch from the sideline.
