varaven45 Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Worth a kick in the tire ?! We need WR help right ? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 I think it is more that we need to use our wr corps better. Quote
oldno82 Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 I'd rather see our new guys get more playing and targeting time. 1 Quote

Spen Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 In think he is about done or I'd say yes. Unless someone steps up, I think we have one of the worst groups of WRs in the league. Lots of youth though so maybe that will change. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Get snead out of the slot. Get porche in. Brown and deverney should be on the same side of the field and be on the field at the same time. It is hard to cover two blazers at once. One takes the top off the d while the other plays intermediate. Do a lot of this out of th n8ng formations and really make defences decide what they want to take away. Quote
varaven45 Posted October 7, 2020 Author Posted October 7, 2020 Great points Papa ! This O can be explosive - just need to utilize the SPEED ! Quote

Harbs or Roman? I agree on Snead...done with that experiment. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I would hope Harbs would go to Roman and say we need to be more dynamic with the passing game. Discuss the skill sets of the WRs on the roster and figure out which skill sets mesh to get the most out of who is there. Roman has always been a run guy. Maybe Harbs should ask if he needs a passing game consultant. Quote
oldno82 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I think they hired a passing consultant during the off-season didn't they? If so, he hasn't much effect so far. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I dont remember that. Just looked. It was last yr that he was hired. Seems to be another friend of harbs. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/team/coaches-roster/david-culley Quote
oldno82 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Well, the season is young and there were no pre-season games. Maybe they'll yet find the answer. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 It can easily be worked out. But there has to be someone directing that push. As we have seen in the past that side of the ball is ceded away to the oc. Quote
vmax Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 "What do you think Mike? Quote Receivers Jackson has to prove that he can win or come from behind in postseason games, and the receivers are in a similar position. They have to prove that they can make big catches in big games. Overall, it’s been a solid group through the first quarter of the season, led by tight end Mark Andrews, who has 12 catches for 166 yards and four touchdowns. But he dropped at least two passes in key situations against Kansas City, and receiver Marquise Brown was a no-show in that game, even though he has 16 catches for 242 yards this year. The Ravens have to get more production out of receivers Willie Snead IV (10 catches for 117 yards) and Miles Boykin (10 catches for 111 yards), or it might be time to give rookies James Proche II and Devin Duvernay more playing time. Proche seems to fit better outside, while Duvernay can play inside or outside.
