vmax Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 The Ravens have no proven vet RB to replace Rice if he gets injured. I think they should get one but then I look at the choices:McClain, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams...I don't see any of them helping this team except in short yardage. Here's the FA list:http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=9&action=upsell&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffa%3fpositionId%3d9 Anthony Allen can pound it in short yardage. Right now I'd rather stick with youth and speed instead of old legs...of course I could be regretting that by game 2 of the pre season. Leach will make them all be better.

I like what Allen has done in the early days of camp. If he can keep it up, he'd be good change of pace runner to spell Ray Rice. With our cap problem the way it is, I can't see them going out and getting another RB. Lets hope they stay healthy.
cravnravn Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Absolutely not, we have Allen & Parmelee...NEXT MAN UP!
OutsideRzAcE Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 If your line is right you should be able to plug pretty much anyone in the backfield and be ok. I guess this is what the Ravens are counting on by signing Leach, reupping Yanda.
BMoreHon Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 why hasn't anyone taken Le'Ron yet? Would we ponder him for backup if no one bites?
papasmurfbell Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 RB's are the easiest position to replace. They are plug and play.
