Robinson, love his effort, his steady hands, but man, on two of his catches as he tried to get every last yard possible, he had that ball swinging everywhere, I thought for sure a defender was going to knock it out.

He also tends to, as do all of the receivers, drift his routes into other routes. This has to be addressed by the supposed miracle workers who work with our receivers. Not sold on them if they are the ones teaching how to run these pathetic routes.

I mean who doesn't know that against zone, you run to and stay in the openings of a zone?

8-4. Unreal.

Last 4 minutes were great. I don't know what to call the first 56 minutes.

Stadium was 3/4's fulll.

End of 1st half the Ravens had thrown 18 times and run 9. 4.4 yards per pass. Who's calling this shit? The Bronco D was faster, more physical and more disciplined. They are the leagues best. You don't run east/west vs fast LB's like that. You run right at them.

Faalele was lost on back to back plays when he gave up the sack.... but he didn't look any worse than Orlando Brown does tonight.

The O line can not run block. Drake played his ass off for minimal gain.

We need Stanley, JK, Gus, and Marcus Williams next week. Get Ojabo some snaps because the Ravens front 7 could not get pressure on Wilson and that's against the worst O line in the league.

Humphrey and Peters played hard. JPP was surprising at how well he played all over the field.

I'll have to watch the film because it's hard to believe they only scored 3 points until the last 28 seconds.

10-9. Vs the lowly Broncos.

The offense was not going to be denied on the last drive. 2 4th down conversions, despite the coaches, every player showed true grit, where was John Wayne when you need him to kick the snot out of Roman.....

The defense, came through, only giving up 9 pts, even with 2 turnovers by the offense. Good thing they played against the Broncos or else..  The coverage on their game ending drive, eek, 2 more yards and it would have been a loss...

Dont say things that will get max's panties twisted.

There's not a thing wrong with this team that a new O-line, 3-4 WRs, and a new Offensive Coordinator can't fix. 🥴

Stanley is needed back desperately. We don't have any wide outs capable of scaring anybody. Greg Roman must go...NOW!---the offense looks downright depressed by his system if you can call it that.

This line is actually better, much better than they played yesterday. They just had a very bad game, injuries caught up to them. We knee the rookie mountain would struggle with fast, small defensive ends.

A good coach sees this and adjusts, and Roman did not adjust.

Even the receivers are good enough, but using them properly, using routes designed to beat zones, get people open is the key. Roman does none of these things.

As I said, this offense has gotten worse as the season has progressed, it is not as if the defenses have gotten better, quite the opposite in fact.

Yes, the evidence is clear, even Harbs, the Biscuit have to see it, Roman has to go.

Defenses are keeping their safeties with in 15 yards of the los, linebackers within 8. That makes it very difficult to run consistently.

Before yesterday they would have to blitz to beat this offensive line, even then, the pass blocking held. The issue with the passing game was either poor route combos, or a qb who could not throw on time because he was confused, or could not throw accurately, leaving no yak.

We saw proof of that at times yesterday. Huntley got the ball out quickly, timely, and accurately to provide yak. Is he the end all, certainly not. But he deserves a chance to show that this offense can score.

You look at other games, Goff for crying out loud put up yards and points. Offenses see safeties 15 yards deep, linebackers 10, making it easier to not just run the ball, but have space for underneath routes, for yak. So that when there is a 5 yard pass, the receiver doesn't have 5 guys tackling him right away.

The line will be fine, but they need help getting those back 7 to back off, it's all Roman.

Geez, when was the last game we played where our QBs weren't under duress??

I've seen enough. Week 14 coming up. The Ravens have too many good players to be executing like this.

Roman has to go.

Harbaugh needs to have a serious talk with Macdonald about what the hell he's doing at times. The D played well yesterday except for a few times. This "bend don't break" shit killed us in the Jaguars game and they almost lost yesterday because of it. It took the Broncos 26 seconds to go down the field from their 18 and get in FG range. Sorry! Not acceptable!

Eric needs to talk with Harbaugh about his plan to save a sinking ship.

Baltimore Ravens Offense....

What's even more puzzling, a few games ago, after a dismal first half, Roman came out in the 2nd half with an incredible game plan. It worked like a charm,, we all praised him.

But before that, and after that, bubkah. Yep, time to go.

What I want to see is evolution of the passing game. Instead of that stupid trick play why not...

Line up two wide to the boundaries, Proche or Duv & Robinson giving the look of the wide receiver screen (that they did not use yesterday).

Only instead of Duv/Proche blocking, they fake the block along with a pump fake from qb, and Duv/Proche goes long.

Combine that with Andrews in tight, doing a deep crossing route to occupy the safety.

An aggressive corner back like Surtain would/will bite on the screen, leaving Duv/Proche wide open.

A look at final 5 games for Ravens and Bengals:

RAVENS
@ PIT (5-7)
@ CLE (5-7)
vs. ATL (5-8)
vs. PIT (5-7)
@ CIN (8-4)

BENGALS
vs. CLE (5-7)
@ TB (5-6)
@ NE (6-6)
vs. BUF (9-3)
vs. BAL (8-4)

Right now, for me, there's no doubt that the Bengals are trending up into a playoff contender and the Ravens are trending down.

With five weeks remaining, here is how ESPN's Football Power Index projects the AFC North's top two teams:

Reach playoffs
Ravens: 95.7%
Bengals: 92.8%

Win division
Ravens: 66.5%
Bengals: 32.7%

Well, it isn't the way we want to see it, but for the next 2 games (?) we will get a look at Huntley with a full assortment of "weapons" and a defense that is far better, because of health, than the one he played with last year in his 1-3 starts.

It will be a good test, albeit with Roman calling the plays, of how this offense can run with a qb not named Lamar, one not concerned with being a pocket passer. Just focused on moving the chains, with what ever it takes.

Food for thought from Jameson Henley:

"This season, Jackson had shown signs of some wear and tear. He missed one practice two weeks ago because of a hip injury, and he didn't finish a practice last week due to a quadriceps injury.

Since entering the NFL in 2018, Jackson has taken a league-leading 877 hits, which amounts to an average of 12.5 hits per game."

How much longer can this go on?

He's in year 5. All year 5 players start to break down some. It ill be hard for him to get the guaranteed money that he wants.

I think guaranteed money is out of the question now. After seeing how many hits he's taken just so far, I think he'd be lucky to justify even a 5 year contract unless he pulls a playoff run like Flacco did.

Did you not see his post game statement?  HE said he was proud of every player coach, and employee for the team after that game.  It was a hard fought Dec win and they all came together to get it.

So how can Turdbaugh see it when he is giddy like a school girl at the results?

Can you show me a time when a coach called out his coaches openly?

People say things immediately after the game, win they are more positive, loss, more critical.

But..

On Monday, Harbs called the trick play the worst he had ever seen.

So perhaps they all sat down on Wednesday to talk about the play calls, the selection.

But we don't know one way or another....
