I hope this gets adversarial and they start to attack him like NY or Philthy press. Quote
Spen Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 You mean the first question? That was a pretty mild attack if so. I sure hope our local coverage does not begin to emulate Philly or NY coverage. Quote
oldno82 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I don't like Harb's "answers" either but I absolutely do not want to see a 'media war' on him. He's not anywhere near deserving of that even if he is a stonewaller. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Yeah the first question. Right out of the box he was throwing down the gauntlet. He was putting the press in their place first question. Harbs is the one who said if you don't like the way the team is run then go be a fan of another team. He has thrown the gauntlet before. I think it is time for it to be picked up and run with. If he doesn't like hard questions don't be an NFL head coach. Also if you say you will fix a problem then do it. But when you are asked about those continuing problems don't act like a spoiled brat. Time for teh press to go thermo nuclear. Run his ass out like Eddie Murray. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I don't think his response was that bad either. A bit smart alecky..but not a big deal. I will say that he has an annoying tendency to get overly defensive and then play stupid about or downplay team deficiencies (as opposed to being upfront and acknowledging issues) during pressers that come after losses. His rationalization of Rice getting 5 carriers this week is a classic example. Listening to the radio this week, it really drives people nuts. I mean the Ravens are 6-3 and caller after caller was asking for his head on the Glenn Unis show. When we do eventually have a bad season, a sub-.500 don't make the playoff season, Harbs is going to take an enormous amount of heat from the fan base. He doesn't calm or reassure the fan base after a loss, he exacerbates the situation if anything. I wonder if he can even survive one bad year of loss after loss....his post game and mid-week pressers after a loss are THAT bad. Quote
vmax Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 He's stressed...just needs a couple wins to calm down. I like a HC full of piss and vinegar because that flows down hill. Quote

Time for teh press to go thermo nuclear. Run his ass out like Eddie Murray. I still do not see anything different than most coaches, just normal coach speak. I really do not think its much of an attack either. I know you hated Billick for years before he was fired, now you bitched about Harbaugh for years; is there a chance you just do not like coaches? Complaining about this just seems petty to me. Quote
cravnravn Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Honestly, what coach gives an answer to any question asked of him by the press? Atleast hes better than Billick. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Before Billick was fired he was picking fights with Preston and a few others. That is not the smart move if you don't want war. Quote
