oldno82 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 This leaky information twists and turns.... This makes it sound like the Ravens haven't said anything to him... Maybe these reporters could get a job forecasting the weather. They are doing as good a job as the morons who called for 6-12 inches of snow here on Wednesday. You know, the media really sucks sometimes!!! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Crack kills...What the fuk are you on..Doss stinksDidn't you say Upshaw sucked when he didn't turn out to be a stud day 1? He will be going into his 3rd yr. This is the yr he can stand or fall. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Didn't you say Upshaw sucked when he didn't turn out to be a stud day 1? He will be going into his 3rd yr. This is the yr he can stand or fall.2nd year... Quote
cravnravn Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Never said Upshaw stunk, I wont second guess a Bama grad. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 So you have never questioned Cody? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 2nd year...I am refering to Doss going into his 3rd yr. I am making the comparison of where a guy is in his career and when it is reasonable to say they don't have it. Quote
varaven45 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Time to reach closure on Boldin. This offense wont survive w/o him. Doss hasnt and wont cut it.We dont win SB w/o Boldin. Ozzie, lets put the Boldin story behind us and foucs on the other signings. Quote
colincac Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Reports are Boldin dealt to 49ers for 6th round pick. First off I'm gonna miss the guy, fantastic player with the best hands I've ever seen and a guy you really can't replace totally. We're really going to need Pitta and Dickson to make big leaps next year to help that. Secondly though I love the move in light of what I had read recently. With the cap crunch going on throughout the league there are a lot of veterans on the market who are replacement-level skill and will come at cheap prices (see this great Grantland piece http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9039158/bill-barnwell-changes-nfl-free-agent-landscape). Instead of cutting him and saving $4 million while losing $2 Mil in dead money (correct me if I'm wrong on that), we now get a 6th round pick (a spot Oz has shown he can find valuable players on cheap contracts) and save the whole $6 Million in cap space. In this market, $6 Million can get us a player even better than Boldin. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 So Boldin fucked with us eh? Says he'll retire if the Ravens release him, we'll see how far that goesIt goes out to SF. Oz and Co. need to figure it out and get er done. You can let aging vets - Ray and Reed - on D.Not so on offense; Flacco and the O must have Q. Don't fart around and negotiate a 2-3 yr deal, let him finish strong and retire a Raven. Get er done !!Ozzie did get the deal done but he wont retire a Raven. Quote
