Suggs is getting extended and his cap number for this year dropped. I'm happy. They could have let him go and done well with Upshaw and Doom, but I think Suggs still has some left in the tank and I still like him as a leader. Also cool to see Suggs recognize the value of staying in Baltimore.

Agree wholeheartedly with this. Some of you guys are going hard on Preston but I bet Byrne's article isn't entirely factual either. He is a PR guy for goodness sakes. Take what he says with a grain of salt. I'm glad Kubiak is our OC though.

Sherman is an asshole for his postgame shots at Crabtree, but he is right about one thing. If it's Crabtree vs Sherman...should have looked for Q in that spot. I don't get why the Niners keep looking at Crabtree when they need to get it in the endzone instead of their all pro tight end or a guy like Q who has championship pedigree and has done it before.

The Boldin thing - in hindsight I don't see how you can say it was the right move. He did well (85 catches, 1200 yards, 7 TDs), our offense stunk at converting 3rd downs and staying on the field, and as tornado just mentioned, we received a pittance for him. The trifecta of oops.

The $2.5 million was not guaranteed and it was over the life of a 2 year deal, so it's not like they took the $2 mil they saved from Boldin and gave it to Reed. Also only $500,000 K was guaranteed and Reed ended up being traded, not released.

Every year I get my hopes up that someone will take Zimmer from you guys and every year i'm disappointed. He must be a terrible interview because his defenses are always impressive.

My thoughts too. I'm not too shocked or disappointed by the news. At this point I think continuity may even be better than starting over. It is obvious that both Ozzie and Harbs believe that the issue was personnel and not Castillo's schemes. Ozzie talked about getting bigger in the middle of the line and Harbs talked about the need to change Castillo's title because "Run Game Coordinator" unfairly put him in the crosshairs.
