  1. Cravn, Joe isn't going anywhere, nor should he. He's still 9-3, and I don't agree that he needs a top 5 defense to carry him. How many games can you say were won by the defense (or in spite of Joe? KC, SD, Pitt). Joe has 3 or 4 clunker losses a year, this is what separates him from the stud QB's. But he has proven this year he doesn't need a top 5 defense to carry him. I think the Ravens will franchise him...if they let him test the waters he'll be gone. They'd be nuts to let Joe go without a good plan B, and there are no good plan B's in free agency this year. Redskins down to thier 4th and 5th string CB's. This sets up nicely for Joe to have a nice rebound game.
  2. Funny, I was just reading an article on Flacco's overthrows on deep balls.
  3. This is bad. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8707374/terrell-suggs-baltimore-ravens-linebacker-torn-biceps-source
  4. In the Joe-Cam debate, I have been sliding towards putting more responsibility for the offensive woes on Joe. My main issue with Cam has been where he has created and stuck with a game plan that completely marginalized Rice and overly-featured Joe, even when Joe was struggling heavily (for example, vs Jax and Sea last year). This year I have seen more dependency on Rice and the running game, especially on the Road. Some people still don't like the lack of touches for Rice and the backs, but I've actually been ok with it since the Houston game. I think at some point, it's on Joe to execute consistently. He still doesn't do that. I have heard more and more lately Joe being described as a rhythm QB. I think this is the problem....unless he is in a grove (such as towards the end of the SD game) you are looking at too many 3 and outs. Overall though I had hope to see an improved consistency from Joe this year, I am still happy with Joe. He does enough to win a lot more than he loses. You can't give the credit to the defense anymore either. Joe, Ray, and this offense are good enough to get us to a SB. We learned that last year. For me the big question mark (and the culprit in this game) is the defense. The O put up 20 against a very strong Steelers defense. With Batch QBing the opposing offense that should have been enough to win. IMO Joe is getting too much heat for this loss.
  5. Calm down. It was one loss, we can afford it. We have 9 wins with a 2 game lead in the division.
  6. The Ravens had I don't think desperation has anything to do with it. What we saw out there is the 2012 Ravens. They are above average but not a great team. 9-3 is a great record but they have been more lucky than good this season. They can lose to anyone at any time. Looking at the rest of the schedule, I think Washington is a toss-up because they skins have been competitive and it is on the road. I think Denver is a slam dunk loss, the Giants is a toss-up and the Bengals game is a toss-up. Hopefully they don't tank all 4, but again this team is just above average. It could realistically happen.
  7. You shouldn't talk playoffs when you are tied for the last spot in with 4 to go. You might not even make it.
  8. What? Can't hear you. Too far down in the standings.
  9. This is not Cameron's fault. Flacco was inconsistent and missed several throws. The strip sack was inexcusable...you err on the side of throwing it away early in this game. The Defense was the huge, I repeat HUGE disappointment for the game. The Steelers had a patchwork offensive line and there were times when Batch could have made a sandwich back there. Wide open receivers on 3rd and long just sitting at the first down marker? WTF? And how do you not cover Antonio Brown OR Mike Wallace on the same play? Who the hell are you covering? Suggs was nonexistant the whole game, Upshaw failed to hold the edge on two big Dywer runs, including the TD. Dean Pees needs to go and take his stupid defenisve schemes with him. You let a 3rd string 37 year old quaterback beat you with a patchwork offensive line - that should be an automatic resignation for the DC.
  10. Don't get carried away. You may not even make the playoffs.
  11. Another big clutch comeback. This guy is so composed and looks so mature beyond his years as a QB.
  12. and Romeo Crennell sees one of his players kill themselves on Saturday and will coach tomorrow. Bizarre.
  13. and he kills himself at the team's complex in front of Crennel and Pioli. Ho-ly crap
  14. I read on the Ravens website that Joe saw this and was cracking up. The content is funny but the voice is horrible. They made him sound like a feminine gay guy.
  15. Yes I agree about needing Ray for depth. Ellerbe is a playmaker but injury prone. I just don't think he should start over a healthy Ellerbe. BTW Ayanbadejo usually looks solid when he's in there, especially in coverage. Why doesn't he play more?
  16. LOL@ hoyer is the better choice. Hoyer can't even unseat Batch and batch is terrible.
  17. I have thought about this a lot recently. Ray is truly special. His passion, his determintation, his work ethic. That said, I'm glad he's healthy, but he is 37 years old. Ellerbe is out playing him and needs to continue getting the most playing time. At this point in the career, Ray cannot be on the field every snap without hurting the team.
  18. LOL...that's what we've been trying to tell you all week
  19. Well this makes more sense. Looks like the Steelers were just too stupid to sign Dixon. http://www.baltimore...0,3983625.story
  20. No Ben, No Lamarr Woodley, Even with Polamalu and Brown returning I can't see the Ravens losing to Pittsburgh. I think the Ravens go conservative on offense so it'll still be relatively close. Ravens by 6
  21. New Orleans saints
  22. Smith was probably distracted by Ike Taylor's fivehead moreso than Ike Taylor's trash talk.
  23. Roethlisberger said in an interview he will play if he can make the throws. He said there is still some pain but that wouldn't stop him from playing. I'm betting he plays but he will still be severly limited. Polamalu also set to play for the first time since week 1 or 2.
