Did they even use the uptempo? It looked like the mid-tempo, sometimes no tempo. Seriously, isn't an advantage supposed to be minimizing substituions by the D? It looked to me like the Eagles substituted whenever they felt like it.

It's been a blast watching the O's in contention this late in the season. I didn't know I still could enjoy baseball this much.

I wish we were playing the Steelers today instead of the Eagles. Flacco knows how to finish a 2 minute drill against the Steelers.

Cam's 3rd Q play calling was atrocious. Ray has been running through huge holes in the first 6 qtrs and he puts it all on Flacco's arm when it's time to seal the deal? Even with the pathetic play calling, the Ravens would have beat this team with refs that knew what they were doing. The lack of holding calls on the Eagles secondary was pathetic. Then after barely calling any of the holding/interference calls in the secondary, to take a TD off the board for an iffy offensive pass interference call was maddening. The refs had bad calls against each team (I don't think any of the rougher calls were legit). Justin Tucker was amazing. Even 30# lighter, Ray is a liability covering the middle of the field in the dime/prevent. With 2 Minutes left, 2 time outs and a kicker that had already made a 56 and 51 yarder, Flacco should have been able to win this for the Ravens. The last two passes were choke city...i'm a little surprised considering that he's been there/done that when it comes to coming through in the 2 minute drill. Bernard Pollard is a beast...the D really missed him If anyone had any doubts, Pitta is the shit and Dickson is garbage.

The D still scares me. They were getting run all over and in 3rd and short/4th and short, they were giving up 3,4,5, yards. They remind me of the Greg Williams Saints Defense of a couple years ago. Basically an average D that turned into a lethal D once they were handed a big lead. Justin Tucker looked good! We can breathe a sign of relief there.

Funny..the guys on the local morning show said this week had the most pass interfereance calls of any opening week in nfl history. So much for my expert analysis. I guess they must all have been in games that I wasn't watching

Watching some of the games this weekend, it looks like when in doubt, officials are holding onto thier flags. I saw a ton of plays that would have been called pass interfereance under the regular guys - so many in fact that it appears defensive players are being more aggressive in anticipation of there not being many calls. The replacement refs also appeared to call fewer block in the back penalities on punt,kick returns. We'll see how this plays out for the Ravens, but so far I actually like the fact that defense players are being giving a chance to defend receivers without ticky tack pi calls coming out. Reminds me of 2000.
