Rogers, 15 of 27, 218 yards, 1 touchdown 3 picks, against the Lions. Allen, 14 of 24, 175 yards, 2 picks, 2 rushing touchdowns against the Jets Herbert, 22 of 33 165 yards, 1 td 1 pick All high dollar qbs, still time to play better in the 4th, but.... food for thought

Well, that would depend on what they could get for Lamar. He is "worth more" than Wilson (Thirteen months later, Seattle traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos along with a 2022 fourth-round pick in exchange for Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, Noah Fant, Denver's first- and second-rounders in each of the next two drafts as well as a 2022 fifth-rounder) Now that alone would certainly make draft moves easier and not be a draft future in despair. Sure, we don't know if any of those future qbs will be good NFL qbs, but, $50 mil cap hit for one player? Maybe they can get Sam Howell from the Commandos along with picks. He is every bit as good, talent wise, as anyone in the draft. Makes all the throws, good touch on down field passes, back shoulder passes. He is also very, very mobile. Big strong kid. That gives you draft capital, 4 more years of a rookie deal with Howell, and still a solid line and defense augmented with draft capital, as an example

Gus and Andrews are doubtful

6-4, 215 pounds. Runs a 4.3 40. Has huge catch radius with big hands, long arms, and body control. He is NOT Clarence Moore. Projected first round. Given that the Ravens do not currently have a 2nd round pick, it will be difficult to move up for him. Yes, they still need a few positions, but this kid is being compared, and rightfully so, to Mega Tron. This might be the draft to throw caution to the wind, do what it takes to move up and grab not just a deep threat, but a great possession receiver as well. This kid is a play maker, with quick feet, blazing speed and size..

I hear ya max, but over the next 2 years there are going to be some very, very good college quarterbacks coming out to be drafted. Guys who are accurate on deep throws, quick releases and can make a defense pay with their legs. In today's game, college, player, quarterbacks are being taught far better than yesteryear. Even our very own Huntley is likley to win those games he lost last year, with this year's defense. The Ravens changed, built their offense around Lamar, imagine if they had done that for Joe.. So now you have a young offensive line coming together, maybe it doesn't need a Lamar Jackson, to win it all.

Thankfully, Michael Thomas will not be playing. Talk about injury prone, geesh
-
Look at his tackles for a loss, that is key. He makes stops at the Los, unlike our previous mlbs, who waited and tackled from behind (8-15 yards down field)... Ray, Jamie, Bart, were the last ones we had that made proper reads and stops at or behind the los...

Man what a shame, kid was showing great promise.

Another prime time game, how will Lamar and the offense respond this week? The Saints are a team that they should beat, but a team capable of beating them if they don't stay focused. How will the defense play, with a new leader, with the knowledge that the team has added a play maker to their midst? He is 3-2 completing 70% of his passes, nice. But it is more than those completions, the lack of interceptions, it is not seeing the open man for a big play. It is waiting too long to find him, leading to no gain or worse. It is even when he chooses to run, scramble... all of which look good on a Stat sheet, except for the Stat that shows loses. This team knows Dalton very well, hit him, he will crumble....
-
Yep, no doubt
-
Perhaps, time will tell. Injuries played a part and I'll timed mistakes. Will those mistakes be repeated? We know the injuries are healing, important players are coming back and the addition of a certain middle backer can't be overlooked.

Well, the mighty midget might be ready to sell... ESPN.co.uk: Snyders hire Bank of America Securities to explore Commanders sale. https://www.espn.co.uk/nfl/story/_/id/34932499/snyders-hire-bank-america-securities-explore-commanders-sale

Disagree. This team was destroying two of the current best teams in the league in Miami and Buffalo. Yes, the defense faltered, the offense bogged down, they lost. But that shows you how good this team can be, they can use that to learn from, grow from. They have also had to hold teams off, win close games. You get tested by how you respond in each game, for no two games are alike.

Well, reading the things the Bears front office have said, he is locked in on roughly $20 mil per, being paid as the highest MLB. Maybe the trade will help him move off of that offer.

Okay, I know, I know this is not the Seahawks forum. Yes, yes I know, we are only roughly half way through the season, they may still fall a part, miss the playoffs, be a one year wonder. But, with a solid defense, good running game, in today's NFL, is a top notch qb needed? I know, a few days ago I said the days of a care taker qb are over, but seeing the putrid play from around the league, maybe I am wwwrong. Smith is proving, right now anyway, that Seatle was correct to trade Wilson, go with a cheaper qb. So it got me thinking, football is not basketball nor baseball, where injuries ending careers are few & far between. There is no place in the NFL, a sport of violence, for guaranteed contracts, certainly not for exhorbanate money. We got a good look at Huntley last season, the team lost most of those games. But then, the defense was horrible, riddled with injuries at every position. The backfield and offensive line was as well. So, I know papa like the idea of playing roulette with the qb position, but with a healthy defense, offense, do you think Huntely could take this team far? Would it be wiser to tag & trade Lamar, get the max picks, and boost the wide receivers, fortify the defense, so that Huntley could have the best chance to succeed? He does, is more accurate down field passing than Lamar currently is....

The bye week could not come at a better time. It gives injured players time to heal & return. It gives those missing time due to injuries time to come back at full strength. If they truly take this one game at a time, 14-3 is not only possible but likely. We know Bowser is a keeper who will help this defense, both the pass rush & in coverage. The one we have no idea about is Ojaba, can he really rush the passer? Can he hold an edge? The two added to the rotation mean that there will be fresher legs in the 4th quarter when this defense really needs them. Add to that Williams likely to come back, how long can a dislocated wrist keep a defender out? In my day, a dislocation meant set it, wrap it, get back at it..... Man oh man with Smith in the fold, watch out for this defense at full strength. Peters will be fully healthy, Hump as well as they both have been playing injured or unsure because of injury. Now can Roman keep implementing those passing schemes? With Stanley about to be at full, full game strength, this line should be solid as a brick wall re-enforced with steel!
-
Might get Williams back after the bye week, this team might be shaping up. The play league wide it terrible, proof that two teams that rushed for over 200 yards still lost... Seize the league!
-
Of note, since the Ravens are tight against the cap, (roughly $3 mil under) And the why
-
Smith has the 2nd most tackles (not 15 yards down field) since entering the league. He is 1 of 2 players with 15+ sacks and 5 picks over the past 5 seasons. Now, can they reach a new deal with him?

Yippie! We talked about this earlier this year, great move! CBS Sports: Roquan Smith trade grades for Ravens, Bears: Baltimore acquires two-time All-Pro linebacker. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/roquan-smith-trade-grades-for-ravens-bears-baltimore-acquires-two-time-all-pro-linebacker/

O line used to be their strength, but yeah, no matter who is qb, it is bad
-
Terrible Sunday lineup today to end October, Steelers vs Eagles or Bears vs Cowboys.... Man are the Steelers bad...
-
Before the last few games, you know I and grub would say no way. But he seems to have really turned the corner on offense. At the right price, sure, bring him back. Yes you can Draft a quick, fast back in the later rounds, but his special teams play has always been top notch, will a drafted rookie be able to do the same?
-
Yeah I don't know, he clearly seems annoyed, even when they have success. I notice he doesn't seem as fast, quick as he was last year, is that; injury to the hip? Him not going full speed to avoid injury? Is he holding back? You would have to think that he is tired of hearing about his contract, media constantly asking, talking about it. Fans constantly making remarks about it, that would weigh on anyone. Maybe this mini break will help him "get away", heal physically and emotionally, followed by the bye week help him to regroup. 6 games against subpar teams, this team could be 11-3, primed for post season play....
