  1. Welcome Demone. Can’t wait to see you in action and our next success story !
  2. Agreed Oldno. Lets see how this might spread over to the D. Maybe Earl and Humphrey are leading the way on that side of the ball. Either way, its all good stuff. Aside from character and chemistry, I cannot think of a more important quality for team success than leadership. While the team is still finding itself and identify, lets hope we will witness all three qualities this season!
  3. Hey Im ready to hop on the bus Gus !
  4. Another FWIW - here are the teams/QBs NE has faced since week 2: Fins - Ryan Fitz Jets - Luke Falk Bills - Josh Allen Skins - Colt McCoy Giants- Daniel Jones Jets - Sam Darnold Doesn't exactly put the fear of God in you right ? It will be very interesting and telling to see Browns & Baker fare this Sunday.
  5. The Pats are awesome no doubt. But you can (as did the Jets Leveon Bell ca 75 yards) run on them. As Lamar and Co did in Seattle, we need to pound the rock and keep Brady off the field. This time though with a larger dose of Edwards, Ingram and Hill. Otherwise, we have little chance for success in this game. Lets hope the 12th man is raring and ready at M & T. Should be lots of fun !
  6. Great points ! My two cents : 1. Rain and muddy conditions are great equalizers. See Skins game- Skins kept the "unbeaten:" 49ers in check all day and could have won had they gotten out of their own way. Anyway, back to our game, RW probably doesn't throw that pick 6 in decent, rain free weather. Taking nothing away from Peters pick which was a thing of beauty. Just saying. 2. Our D still has some holes...... in the middle - LB corps and secondary - but it has quickly improved. I really like Chuck Clark (Va Tech Hokie) who has more than filled in for Tony Jefferson. I thought last year and even more so this year he should be starting as safety. The boy is a thumper and a smart player (wearing the green dot). He, Earl Thomas, Peters and Humphrey are forming a strong secondary. With Jimmy Smith returning and Brandon Carr on hand, the secondary should continue to improve. FWIW - how did Wink go from being a bum to a great DC....again ?! 3. We still need a more prolific pass rush. With our secondary coming on, our D could take a quantum leap with a fortified pass rush. I'm not sure where its coming; just know its needed. 4. Lamar is a beast and now the face of the O if not the team. He is the man but still needs receiving help from his TE and WRs. Getting Brown back would be huge. Receivers need to catch the damn ball. Lamar could benefit from spreading the rock around - Edwards, Ingram, Hill should get a few more touches. Otherwise, its a helluva backfield ! 5. NE will be the ultimate challenge. Watching the Jets game closely tonight. We will see how we stack up against the best eh ? M & T will be rocking November 3rd !
  7. Max, your are really digging this ! You need to be on that Ravens plane back to Bmore
  8. Huge game, statement win is right. They need to build on this W and keep in perspective. Its a W, a damn big W, but we are 7 games in; 9 to go. Time to rest and get healthy and get ready for the Pats. Should be a lot of fun !
  9. All I can say is Wow ! Just Wow ! Dang great effort in enemy territory, hostile environment. Who is liking the Marcus Peters pickup now ?
  10. Well I started the thread and Ill just say - HOLY COW ! I never saw this coming. Helluva game and all around awesome effort by the good guys. Hey, I blew the prediction but who cares ! As Chuck Thompson used to say, Ain’t the Beer Cold !!!!!
  11. We need a pass rusher. Keep Smith and address secondary in the off-season.
  12. Joe is in the midst of long, rough patch in Denver. I hope he can right the ship (just not against us). With each passing game, It surely reaffirms that Joe caught lighting in the bottle in our SB year. IDK that Joe will ever see that again.
  13. Here's my take and prediction- Lamar gets hemmed in much like San Diego did in playoff last year. RW has another strong game; goes off on our improving secondary. Pete Carroll outcoaches Harbs. The good guys keep it close for a half; maybe 3rd quarter. Seattle 28 Ravens17
  14. Agreed with all the above. In my mind, there are three keys for being successful this Sunday: 1. Control LOS and TOP by running the ball down their throats. Do not abandon the run ! 2. Play within themselves on D and avoid the "big plays" by RW. 3. Stay composed and play smart - no analytics and cute plays please.
  15. Yep, and w/Peters, one step closer to restoring a struggling defense. Sure, we still need to fortify our LB corps and add 1-2 pass rushers. That will certainly come in 2020 and beyond. In the meantime, the secondary is trending up and I like the lockdown CB combo of Humphrey and Peters. If Earl Thomas and Chuck Clark continue to improve on the back end, the secondary should set up nicely for the second half of the season. It will certainly get a nice test this Sunday in Seattle !
  16. Tsy, agreed and no brainer. Our D and the backend needed help and we got it.
  17. According to NFL Network, Peters to Ravens for Kenny Young and a pick. Details to follow .....
  18. No link yet but sounds like "in the works". Very interesting.
  19. Agreed. Seattle will score early and often; as should we. Don't see us stopping RW. I am looking/hoping for a competitive game.
  20. Seahawks game: a great opportunity for us to make a statement. Should be a fun game !
  21. Max, You nailed it. We are fun, competitive, and have a shot in every game. Definitely see us in the AFC scrum of 2nd or 3rd tier teams and a .500 team (+ or - a W). Once we retool our D w/a pass rusher (or 2), another LB and CB/safety, the future for this team looks awesome and positive. The next 2 games -Seattle and NE - will tell us much about this team !
  22. Ill make a prediction : the team with the most points will win the game
  23. Yep, pound the rock, take care of the ball, and play good defense. The Bengals are eventually going to get a win. The played the Seahawks tough - 1 pt loss, had the Bills beat and lost on a last minute FG to Cards. They arent scrubs - as many would suggest. We just need to play our game, dominate the LOS, pound the rock, and keep Dalton in duress. Like Max said, get to 4-2 and then get ready for a tough sledding the rest of the season. Its looking more and more like another 7-9 to 9-7 campaign.
