  1. Except we aren't and wont be NE. They'll soon be yesterday's news once either Brady suffers a big injury or Bellichick is done. Look for that in the next 1-2 years, if not sooner. Yes, they created an amazingly successful dynasty and model for every NFL team to try and emulate. We and others might have learned/taken something from this model but its time to start our own -its happening before our eyes. Lets see what DeCosta & Co have up their sleeves.
  2. Browns got OBJ ? that should be fun watching him and Mayfiield fighting on the sidelines the first time OBJ isnt thrown a ball.
  3. Man, the cupboard is becoming bare- both O and D. I trust DeCosta will hit this draft out of the park. Regardless, itll be a younger, rebuilding team for sure. Lots of new faces in new places.
  4. Welcome our next man up - Ken Young. He isn't the face of the franchise......yet. Someone will step up.
  5. Nice! We play Az at home this year. It could be fun watching Suggs and CJ chasing Lamar around M & T .
  6. Not a huge Ingram fan (already have one of them); I feel and see a need for speed and wheels
  7. Hello Chuck Clark ! Hes a thumper, a Hokie and ready
  8. Too bad Collins didnt hook up wiith Leveon Bell and Legarrette Blount. They could have formed the Doobie Brothers II
  9. Trent was one of my favorites from 2000 team. The team and Billick should have never released him (yes, hindsight is 20/20). Still, Trent remained professional through it all. It was our loss and you could argue till the cows come home that by not releasing him we would have returned to the SB. Either way, Trent was a class act and was a big part of the character and chemistry that defined that SB winning team. We were extremely fortunate to have had Trent.
  10. More like Russian roulette ! Dont get me wrong, I like Lamar a lot but recent history and the physicality of the game shows that guys like Lamar and RG dont last long. Ultimately, next year, year after, etc. we will acquire or draft a long term solution. Time will tell.
  11. Which is why they should draft or acquire another QB. They only have 2. If and when Lamar goes down, they need another guy besides RG 3.
  12. Dang Papa, I thought with your malice towards Flacco you'd be partying like its 1999. What do you care if it blows up in Elways face ?
  13. Im with Max on this one. Eds numero uno !
  14. Sweat looks Sweet ! We could certainly use him to chase Baker and Ben around next season
  15. Im not confident that he can help Lamar with his throwing mechanics and becoming a pocket passer. In short, I think well have 2 RG III s on the roster - one young, one old. I may be wrong and hope I am but have watched too much footballl to convince me otherwise. Long story short, without a pure pocket passer on the 2019 roster Im not feeling optimistic about this teams future direction. Just my two cents ....
  16. Well see. I do like the D sans the needs for a ballhawk S, roving LB and an elite pass rusher. Offensively, gotta fix the OL, establish the speed run and pass game. Lamars the key. If he improves from an off-season, well be competitive again- just like this season. If not, we could struggle mightily and look up to Steelers and Browns. If that happens and Lamar doesnt get it - through a full year- we might as well start getting in line for the Clemson QB in 2021 or whenever. Btw - Id still like to pick up a Nick Foles type in this offseason for insurance. Having RG III as a backup is a slippery slope that I dont want any part of. If we do that, we might as well make a deposit now for the next Trevor Lawrence.
  17. Wouldnt mind seeing Joe go to Jax. We dont see those guys until 2020 and its here. Maybe we get a decent draft pick out of it.
  18. Agreed with the above especially for the OL. We really need a strong C - haven’t had a really good one since Matt Birk. The Gs need upgraded too. Okay w Stanley and Zeus II as OTs. But that’s 3 positions that need upgrade. We need help at WR and RBs. That’s at least 5 picks for the O side. Still have to address D including pass rusher, LB (1 or 2), and safety. That’s about 9 to upgrade. Between FA & the draft, DeCosta & Co will have a busy, challenging off season.
  19. Posted Yesterday, 11:24 AM A. Retain Roman, lose Marty. B. If that doesnt work, start anew - fresh young OC who can coach/mentor LJ. Wow, actually called that one ! Good move. Hopefully, we can now resurrected the offense.
  20. Forced or unforced, he had a successful season (won AFCN). He and/or his coaching staff didn't make pre and/or during game adjustments and lost to the Chargers. Otherwise, he had a successful season. He needs to replace the OC and rebuild/fortify the offense for Lamar or our next QB. If he doesn't, expect the same exact results (in 2019) as last Sunday's game.

  22. Max, Totally agreed. Not along the lines of "I told you so" but really felt this just prior to the game. Posted 06 January 2019 - 12:15 PM Tough game and another one too close to call. Nothing surprises these days - the team who executes best will win! FWIW- I don't know more than anyone else- probably less - but was concerned about Harbs and our guys almost taking a laissez faire attitude to the game, almost saying well it worked well last time in LA, it should work today. We saw the results - front and center stage. Not sure that's a fair assessment but it seemed to certainly go that way. Moot point now I suppose. However, this team's coaches inability to make in game adjustment is extremely troubling and disappointing. We could have Antonio Brown, Leveon Bell and Julio Jones in our offense and not sure it would have worked. There's a much bigger matter to be addressed in the offseason- and the Biscuit, HC and OC need to get their S worked out ! The ST & D is okay, sans a new pass rusher, safety and an additional LB (Suggs/ CJ replacement). The Offense, after nearly 25 years of ineptitude, needs fixing. Time to get er done !
  23. It sounds like DeCostas offseason plan needs to address OL, find a WR playmaker, and land a speedy RB. Find Lamar some weapons a legit mentor/back up and give him/them a year. If it works, great. If not, return to QB drawing board in 2020 which would not surprise.
  24. IDK but one things for sure - unless Lamar fixes some big time stuff - he ain’t the long term answer. If he repeats yesterdays performance next season, we will quickly find ourselves in the AFCN cellar. I’m hoping he does and works his arse off in the off-season. If so, kudos to him and things will trend upwards. If not, we will have already seen his ceiling this season. And that is why we need a contingency plan to compensate For Joes loss plus have a QB for the future. The QB situation should become a big deal this offseason.
