  1. Hard to argue with the above. Imagine what a Norv Turner type of a more progressive guy could do with Lamar. Would it have made a difference yesterday in KC? One has to wonder.
  2. Yep, time to get off the mat, stop talking and get er done. Every one of the next 3 games is a playoff game.
  3. Well, we pounded the rock and competed today against arguably AFCs best. Very proud of our guys. Not a fan Of moral victories but we played KC as well as anyone and in their house. Got to prep for Tampa at home. Another tough game - they all are from here on out !
  4. Nice pick by Chuck Clark!
  5. Papa, you going a little silver lining in the clouds on us ? .
  6. Max, You sound like Debbie downer but I have to agree with you 100% and especially your rationale. We are dead meat without Humphrey in the secondary in Lamars likely to be really exposed for the first time. But hey what do I know Im just a fan.
  7. The most important key to competing at all in this game is successfully pounding the rock and gashing the Chefs D. If we do, we can be competitive. If not, its a long, long day.
  8. We have consensus
  9. Agreed, but in this week-to-week league, it'll be interesting but not surprising to see how his stock changes after Sunday's game at KC.
  10. What Spen said
  11. What is the teams identity ? Are we now a run first team with a good to very good defense ? What do you think ?
  12. But really impressed by our D's effort Atlanta Passing C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS QBR RTG Matt Ryan 16/26 131 5.0 1 0 3-34 45.8 87.2
  13. Impressive D and we got the W in Atlanta. Thats a dang tough place to win against that offense. Ultimate test next weekend in KC.
  14. Any thoughts or words of wisdom on Sundays game ? It should be interesting. I'm look forward to seeing how Lamar does on the road. It should be fun and entertaining, plus its being broadcasted in my local area (SE Virginia). Black birds vs dirty birds !
  15. Ill take the 3 SBs. Ask the Detroit Lions, Arizona Cards or Cleveland Browns if theyd take a single SB.
  16. Max, dont you mean 3 SBs in Bmore ?
  17. Superior to Ben R? Dont think so; not yet. Would be interesting to see Baker chuck it to AB and Ju Ju in the Burgh. Eventually, we could be all looking up the brownies eh ? Meanwhile, it Could be an interesting week 17 matchup between Lamar and Baker
  18. Time to ride Lamar and Gus the bus !
  19. Agreed with the above. Wondering, however, how Joe plays with a renewed running attack - Edwards, Montgomery, Buck ? Is the overall offense, including running attack, just responding better to Lamar ? The team's QB choice for the Atlanta game is certainly intriguing.
  20. I think that Max is referring to a winning rebuild at least thats how it sounds to me.
  21. Love this guy ! He was a QB on our D. Ill nevet forget his trifecta agains the Redskins about 15 yrs ago at FEDEX when he hit QB Mark Brunel, caused a fumble and rumbled in for a TD. It changed the entire game and we won. The guy made so many awesome plays. I wonder sometimes how even better our incredible D might have been had Ed played on the 2000 D. Great player, incredible instincts and amazing athleticism. He was truly a generational player. Damn blessed to have watched this guy for so many years.
  22. Yep, And Papa Id love to coach a modern day defense that would stop both of those offenses in their tracks. Thats what I miss.
  23. Dont know about anyone else, but how crazy has it gotten where two teams put up 100 points and 1000 yards of offense. Call me old school, out of touch, but where the heck is the D? The high flying offense is fun & exciting but the NFL has now become a high priced flag football league. I miss the days of the 85 Bears and 2000 Ravens D. Anyone else ?
  24. Max, good start. The more he plays, the more we see. I personally would like to advance the evaluation process so that we will know whether he can become a franchise QB. He needs the rest of this year and all of next to find out. Others will disagree (and perhaps rightfully so) but I'd like to think we can evaluate in a year and a half (end of 2019). We are undergoing a youth movement and he comes in at an opportune time to grown with the team - like Joe did in 08. If the FO plays this right - jettisons some aging vets, secure a good salary cap position, and returns to successful drafting, we could see some real success instead of the mediocrity we've witnessed over the past 5 years. Lamar will either fit in or not. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy watching Lamar - his energy, passion and skillset - and root for his success.
