He was one of the most instinctive, natural safeties to ever play the game. I will never forget the Sunday night game about 15 years ago and his trifecta against the Skins when Ed knocked the ball out of QB Mark Brunells hands, scooped it up and ran it in for a TD. He changed the game on that one single play and we snuck a W at Fed Ex field. Ed did amazing stuff like that.....what a joy to watch !

Max, I like and appreciate your enthusiasm and optimism. Juxtaposed to the woeful Os, the Ravens look like a juggernaut. And like yourself, I’m one of those old Os fans that miss the glory days when it was a model organization. I have little confidence the Os will ever return to a model franchise. Plus, all the media (ESPN) cares about are teams with $500 M payrolls (NY,Bos). How can anyone want to watch that ? With the Ravens and the Biscuit, however, I do hold out hope they can turn the ship around especially ina parity driven league. Plus, they at least have an owner who seems to care and is about winning. Perhaps we see that winning formula return soon although it might be a while. Time will tell.

Sooner or later its going to happen. This year ? Who knows but the gap is narrowing. It wouldn’t shock me to see the Browns sneak 1 this year in Cleveland.

Maybe Joe should buy Lamar some candy and flowers, just to make sure he hasnt hurt his feelings. Its tough be a football player you know.

Too bad the young kid Woodrum (sp?) is odd man out. Would have preferred him and the $savings over RG.

Like most, I'm hoping with these newest weapons and toys Joe will have a renaissance year. Notice I said "hope". Maybe playing a little pissed off and with a chip on his shoulder will do him and the team some good. It sure cant hurt, especially with the rookie QB looking over his shoulder.

Cant tell yet. There is some good raw talent there. I like the TE out of Oklahoma and Zeus Jr. Maybe Ozzie hit a homer on the last day. Time will tell. It should be fun and interesting to watch this season.

Agree wholeheartedly on: The talent value the Ravens needed; offensive line, wide out, tight end, inside linebacker, was in the first 3 rounds. Thus far, we whiffed on WR and ILB but did get 2 TEs and T. And we picked up A QB. Time will tell on all these guys. One more day to draft our needs - WR and ILB and Center. Well have to hope we find more diamonds in the rough. For what its worth, I havent figured out this teams drafting rationale the last several years. Its some where between schizophrenic and reactionary, coupled with head scratching moves that are supposedly designed to save money. And the fan base keeps saying that we draft for need ? I dont understand it but thats why the FO gets paid the big bucks. In the meantime, our lack of consistently successful drafts have hurt this team over the last several years. And on the good old adage, you reap what you sow, we have and will continue to see the results play out on the field. Hence, the multiple mediocre seasons since our SB win. Im hoping this last days draft bears some good fruit but given our track record the last several years, one can expect more head scratching picks today. Hopefully, Im wrong and we light it up. Ozzie, good luck on your last draft and hope you/we go out with a bang !
