  1. Wilson is great, but I just don't see him making it. Even Polian basically agreed with Mel...he's never going to be a starter.
  2. Even when he's caught surprised, Mel has something to say about whatever player is drafted. Not sure why the man doesn't get more respect. Randle?
  3. Hightower, Jones, and Randle. Those are my three, and I know that two will be long gone and one might be 20 picks too early, but those are three Raven-types, for sure.
  4. Not really, because he can just aim at one target once he gets it down (which the video almost suggests).
  5. Bah humbug, it was almost 50 this morning (though it has stayed that way all day). I'm still really angry about not having gotten any snow.
  6. I never said that I thought he deserved it. And I'm not entirely confident that if/when he becomes a household name, he won't go back to what he used to be.
  7. Don't care. If you're that dumb, you don't deserve a fraction of the money that would otherwise be coming your way.
  8. Is Utz really good enough to worry about that? I never was big on potato chips.
  9. Maybe it's just me, but I like Randle infinitely more than I do Hill.
  10. I think he's better than Taylor, but no one seems to have snatched him up for some reason. He has to have some kind of issue (being from Oregon, maybe he's a pot smoker or something?), or maybe something involving his injury is lingering. Either way, workouts are always a good thing.
  11. He would be coming here as a #3. Not even a #2. Taylor would be the backup to Flacco. There would be absolutely no problem with it, and I'd be happy for the guy if he impresses the staff enough to be signed (because he probably doesn't have any other options).
  12. Come on, you knew I was the one who had to post this. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-boller-works-out-for-ravens-20120418,0,1823272.story They're also working out Dennis Dixon and (according to NFL News) Curtis Painter.
  13. It looks like a t-shirt my mother made me wear when I was 6.
  14. I actually really like it. The only issue I can see is how tough the late season stretch is...the Redskins are the closest thing to a joke team in the bunch. But we should be good early, and the bye is definitely well-placed.
  15. In a heartbeat, please.
  16. Of course it is. That's obvious. But what other option does anyone have?
  17. Jealous. It's going to be almost 90 in Maryland on Monday.
  18. Yes, he can. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/13/franchise-players-can-participate-in-offseason-programs/
  19. What do you mean? I don't really know how to blame the NFL in this situation.
  20. Yeah, I don't understand any of the negativity about him. Unless you're closet Vikings fans, he's a good player for us and there's no reason to believe that he won't continue to be. The guy is working, cut him a damn break. He is not nearly a concern right now. And he's not going anywhere.
  21. Not really sure why folks are so set with Williams as a starter for the future, though. I sincerely doubt he gets resigned, and that's probably for the best anyway.
  22. One game doesn't mean he can't play outdoors. He's had shitty games in domes, too; does that mean he's terrible in those? Here's his splits. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4256/splits?year=career The primary difference is that he throws more INTs outside (you know, away?). He actually throws for more yards and an almost identical completion percentage, on average, outside versus on the turf. I'm sorry, but that's not a fair argument in making a case that he won't be damn good.
  23. They're not taking it to court, and they most likely won't ever. It's too risky for them and as much as they know they're getting screwed, in the end they're just going to have to deal with it (unless this arbitrator and/or the appeal process changes anything, which isn't likely). Of course it was against the law, and if it was ever taken to court, the NFL would lose every last one of its antitrust rights and agreements (along with the penalties for collusion, obviously), and you know who that would hurt? The Redskins and Cowboys, along with every other team. This won't go much further than it has.
  24. I don't think they will. They absolutely should, but they have 28 or so owners pissed at them for throwing the curve in the first place, plus a power-hungry commissioner who refuses to lose, and a gutless players' union.
  25. No it won't. When did he ever show that he can't play as well outdoors? Literally, ever?
