I couldn't agree more. It removes almost all motivation to make any changes to the team.

Not with Jason Taylor there. There's no room. The Giants, 49ers, and Dolphins are maybe the top options. I don't think anyone will rush to get him.
-
It seems like they do for most teams, actually.

War room reaction to the trade out of the first round: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/media_library/Videos/2010/04/Presser_Ozzie_Explains_Reason_Behind_Trade.aspx?id=5ba54346133d451cae4462ce50f0a9d3 Hint: They loved it.

I hate their cheating, lying, ugly little selves, but the Patriots are having a pretty incredible draft...
-
Colt McCoy will be intercepted by Ravens defenses for years to come.
-
...well it looks like we won't be drafting any CBs soon.
-
Agreed. Kindle's are simply less documented, and he's not exactly completely past them.
-
We might have just picked up a star. But he's got some serious injuries that we have to hope against.
-
Fucking Patriots. They are the foil of the draft for us. Every year.
-
Common draft pick point values are less applicable this year than usual. Picks this year are worth a lot more, and picks next year are in flux (rookie salary cap is good, but possible lockout is very, very bad). They just aren't working like they used to. Why do you think all those trades were so valuable and rich for the teams (including us) that got out of their spots when on the clock? It's just working differently this year. And I absolutely agree that you're entitled to your opinion. We're just also allowed to disagree with it! As well, I agree with Spear. I'm with him especially because there's no telling whatsoever how good Bryant will be. Even last season, Michael Crabtree was a better prospect coming out, and he didn't sit out almost an entire season. I'd be excited about a lot of players. Gronkowski is probably target #1 (I think he might be as good as Gresham), but guys like Benn, Tate (though I hope not), Cody, Dunlap, Kindle, etc. would all be huge pickups considering that we got out of the first round entirely. There's still time for this draft to be a fantastic one for the Ravens.

As I said last night, it was reported that the Ravens had zero interest in Kyle Wilson, quoting an executive as saying that he "couldn't cover Chad Johnson". I love what he's done so far. There was no one worth taking where we were, and we had no bullets to move up. The future is just as important as the present.

You didn't read what REED told me. That page is incorrect. We didn't have a fourth rounder to give. So, we gained two picks. Not one.
-
You guys are suggesting that you'd be satisfied with us having three or four draft picks this year. How incredibly shortsighted.
-
Saving early picks is not stockpiling them. You can't put all your eggs in a basket for one year. There's no telling what next year's draft class will be just yet. It's senseless to give away high draft picks (ESPECIALLY considering that a potential rookie salary cap will make them more valuable than ever) next year for lower ones this year. Besides, weren't you just the one complaining in the draft thread that we didn't get rid of all our picks this year for high-end talent, considering the depth of this class? You seem to be arguing in circles.
-
You're being really ridiculous. Don't you understand that the Ravens have (had) the second fewest draft picks in the entire league this year? There was no ammunition. Harbaugh even said on WBAL at around pick #15 that there was no way they'd be trading up. Ozzie pretty much articulated the plan (also on WBAL...good listening this evening) earlier, that they would absolutely not be trading up, and that they'd only be picking at #25 if there was more than one guy they coveted available (i.e. two or more to choose from). Otherwise, they'd do the best they could to trade out of the pick and gear up for Friday. It's bad enough to criticize a draft in the same year it happens, but, my god, at least let this thing finish first and see what the Castle's plan is. PS: It came down the grapevine earlier today that the Ravens had zero interest in Kyle Wilson. One executive was quoted as saying that he'd "never be able to cover Chad Johnson in the NFL".
-
Yeah, nevermind. NFL.com was reporting that we swapped fourth round picks, but they confused that and the Cowboys/Pats trade.
-
We gave away our fourth, too, so it's essentially moving out of the first round for a 2nd and a 3rd.
-
Bills don't want him. Raiders are the only legitimate option, but they have no first rounder in 2011.

*** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy ***

Thursday's going to be a painfully busy day. I'll be surprised if I'm up at 11:30, to be honest. haha I wouldn't be hurt if we traded down, either. I'm just kind of afraid of the result.
-
He'll start at least once this season.

Not whatsoever. Public lewdness would be the closest thing, but that's not relative to the bathroom they're in.

Would a man that looks like this sexually assult someone?

He was suspended for eight games. And that was after he'd been suspended two games previously. He was arrested four times within 14 months. He gave alcohol to kids, multiple times.
