  1. The return of Yanda, Gregg and Landry would certainly be huge boosts to this team. I think these injuries flew under the radar in the media, and our backups did a great job of stepping in, but we need these 3 guys (who all have good-sized contracts) back and helping the team badly.
  2. Anyone get a figure on our cap situation yet? Because I don't see how come we CANT keep all these guys.... We have a few large contracts off the books in Boller, Odgen and McNair, we could cut C-Mac, who was our highest paid player last year, Suggs, Lewis and Scott all figure to get similiar deals to the ones they already had (Suggs may want a 2-3 Million dollar raise, but that's what Boller was making). Leonhard and Brown figure to get large raises, but based on our salary number this year and the amount of room we have, I don't see why it's not possible. Given that, I don't really want to resign Scott, because I think that 5 Million could be spent more wisely on a CB or WR.
  3. One stupid play doesn't have even close to 40% impact on a game, that is absolutely absurd. His 40% should go straight to Flacco, who couldn't make a play to save his life.
  4. Flacco sucked tonite, anyone who says otherwise is a retard.
  5. Julius Peppers, a CB in the 1st round, and a WR in the 2nd.
  6. Flacco WAS the major reason we lost that game. It is absolutely retarded to call our QB a strength at this point, and what he said makes perfect sense. Anyone who can call our QB play a strength has problems. Granted, I dont think its a weakness, and I think it could develop in to a strength, but to call Flacco one of our strengths at this point is stupid.
  7. Warner actually knows how to get rid of the ball quickly, I hope they crush Pittsburgh. Flacco was absolutely terrible today, absolutely the reason we lost the game. He couldn't make a throw, he didn't know how to step up in the pocket. Hopefully he grows over the off-season, cause we can't win with Quarterback play like that.
  8. Settle down, settle down guys. One lucky big pass to Hines Ward, we are fine.
  9. I don't know what to call what we use, but anyone with his athleticism would be amazing for this D. Suggs dropps back in coverage a good amount, as do some of our DT's even haha, so Pepper's speed and ability to pursue would be huge. I know we have all the LB's coming off the books, Jason Brown, Kyle Boller too. Also, I believe we get full cap relief from McNair's and Odgen's contracts next year. It seems to me we could be way under, so I'm interested in finding out. Don't forget we could be cutting CMac, who had a 10 Mil cap number for this year, and definitely isn't worth that kind of money.
  10. Anyone know what our cap for next year is gonna be at? I know I'm looking ahead but the recent news that Peppers wants to play in a 3-4 D made me wonder.... :P
  11. Sadly, I have to be honest with myself. Without Rolle, we are fucked. 27-17 Steelers.
  12. No one even came close to stating that we wanted the 4-2-5 as our Base Formation, so get your head out of your ass and read. Secondly, as for the debate between the two. Landry and Leonhard both seem to have the knack for being in the right spot at the right time. But there is no evidence to state that Leonhard is the 'best tackler' on our team, or that Landry is 'unquestionably' better against the run then Leonhard. Leonhard can't play 'better then he should' an entire season, that's just impossible, he is what he is, and that's a good tackler and a versatile athlete who also can help us in the Punt Return game.
  13. Like I said earlier the 5 DB offers a lot of advantages. We aren't sure about Gregg coming back next year though, or McAlister, so we can't be too sure on that. I don't think it would require Leonhard bulking up either, if those 4 Linemen were to be the 4 starting, I don't see how its possible for anyone to run on us, and pretty much everyone after the line would be running free at the ball carrier. Leonhard has shown he can tackle well, and in that set-up, we would need his speed as much as anything.
  14. They are gonna go Spag, take away a guy from the Giants haha. That would be fun for the JEts fans.
  15. I love Bledsoe's quote haha. But, let's worry about Shittsburgh first, not who we would face in the Super Bowl.
  16. I expect us to lose a LB in FA this offseason, and as a result I expect to see some 5 DB formations with Landry basically in the box as a LB covering the 3rd WR or TE. We wouldn't lose much run support and our pass coverage would improve greatly.
  17. In my opinion Clayton and Mason are virtually identical, Clayton being the quicker, younger one, and Mason being the more experienced, better route-runner.
  18. Cowher is the most intelligent, but he is the biggest homer, which cancels that out haha. IMO Marino isnt a homer, he picked us over Miami in the WC......
  19. With a CMac from 2 years ago they throw for 180, not CMac from early on this year.
  20. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80e06115 hahaha great interview.
  21. I'd rather have the Chargers win this, we just can't beat the steelers.
