  1. There's no way we will keep CMac if it means letting one of our LB's go. We could cut CMac and be able to resign Scott for less then Mac was making, so it would be a no brainer in my opinion (even with our lack of CB's).
  2. Thanks, and if you did it the correct way with the right numbers, we are definitely gonna let him go.
  3. Does anyone know what will happen to our cap if we cut CMac? What kind of money do we get back? Something I just realized thats a big help is that I know JO's and McNair's retirements didn't take full effect on our cap this year, but will next year. I'm not sure how much we got back this year, but I recall it not being a lot. I don't see us signing Scott, simply because he is very easy to replace at this point.
  4. McCalister is being talked about as a cap casualty, and as long as we can grab another veteran in free agency for cheaper or draft a guy in the 2nd/3rd round, I'm fine with that. Like people have said, we have amazing depth at Safety and at Dline. I expect Gregg and Dawan to come back strong next year, and as far as I know, we aren't losing anyone at either of those positions. I wouldn't mind seeing Rex(or whoever takes his place ) playing with an extra downlineman more often in kind of a 4-4 set up, or mix it up and bring in 3 safeties to mask our problem at corner. I see us losing Scott this offseason, and using our depth at Safety and DLine could help us cope with his loss.
  5. Neal is right but we were so close on a couple of those deep balls, and as far as I'm concerned, got screwed near the end zone with no-calls. There were a few obvious PI's down there and a few hands to the face even that went uncalled. This team will step up when the time comes, and expect Ray Rice to be the reason why, we haven't had any recieving out the backfield in awhile, he will be Flacco's checkdown stud, just like Cobbs was for Miami today.
  6. Yea Willis!!! That's how you silence all the fuckin haters baby!
  7. Torry Holt is another clone of Mason haha but if he comes cheap he still would be helpful.
  8. If he wants more then he got in his old deal, he isn't staying.
  9. All I can say is thank god we have till Sunday haha.
  10. Thank god people are seeing the light on this thing so we can all get back to cheering on the Ravens, including Willis McGahee.
  11. I don't like ANY of those qualities, and, since you probably can't tell from my tone thus far in the thread, I dont like McGahee as much as Rice or McClain. However, I'm just trying to be rational. The guy is gonna be here next year, that's a near certainty. Because of that fact, I'm gonna try to support him and hope he can come out and run the ball hard. Being pessimistic does no good to anyone, and though McGahee has certainly not shown he has a team-first attitude in his time here, I dont think THESE comments he made are news-worthy. I agree that trying to change your game for a coach can cause injuries, and though that isn't something I would want McGahee stating publicly, its the truth.
  12. Great read. Good to know we have some deep guys on the team. I'm laughing at the thought of seeing T-Sizzle write something though
  13. Yea, this is really getting ridiculous now.....
  14. I really just don't see what he said as complaining. It's more him just blaming his weight loss on the injuries. If he was complaining about his playing time being down as a result of the injuries, then I see your argument, but he's not.
  15. How is he acting like a 10 year-old? He was on a fucking interview. The interviewer asked him why he hasn't been able to replicate his performance and Willis gave an HONEST response. It's a fact that getting lighter will make a Runing Back more susceptible to injuries, and thats what happened to Willis. He isn't pulling a TO and complaining about getting the ball either, he's simply stating that because he tried to change to impress Harbaugh, he has gotten injured more then he normally would. This is ridiculous that people think he's acting like a 10 year old. Now, if he happens to go off on the coaching staff after we (hopefully dont) get beat in the playoff's, then I will agree. But, as of now, he isn't really causing any trouble. And, yes ZERO chance we cut him. We aren't gonna eat 9 Million dollars by cutting a good player at a Running back position where players get injured week in and week out.
  16. If he gets cut and we can sign him to a cheap, incentive-laden deal, I'm all for it. I agree Clayton is emerging and Mason has a few more years left, but we need a big WR and Burress has potential. I'd rather give him a shot then using a draft pick on a WR, which rarely turns out the way you expect it to.
  17. People like me are the ones not retarded enough to think our team will actually cut a guy and eat his $9 Million cap hit. That has ZERO chance of happening, so give the professional player who has, in the past, shown himself to be a premier player, some fucking cushion, cause he's gonna be on our roster next year, whether you like it or not. Grow up, and think like an adult, not a 10 year old who is disappointed his favorite player is whining.
  18. Dan Hampton here on Chicago's sports radio has been calling Ryan Clady "The Best LT in the Game" based on just this year's play. Obviously he loves the kid way too much, but him getting a few votes isn't ridiculous. I honestly would've given it to Forte. That kid CARRIED Chicago the whole year, leading WR and RB, with a shit offensive line and a sub-par Quarterback. It was a tough choice this year.....
  19. I'm just honestly disappointed that everyone is freaking out about this. When I saw the headline I was expecting some heavy shit, not "I think the regime has caused my injuries." For christ's sake, he's hardly mouthing off. Granted, he shouldn't have said anything, and he picked a terrible time TO say this, but this is not even news worthy in my opinion. The guy is here to stay with his cap number, and we ned to keep his confidence up because of this fact, not trash him or say we should cut him.
  20. The logic that goes into the award is the same as that for Most Valuable Player. Even though it isn't called 'Most Valuable Defender' the media votes for the player that has made the greatest impact on a winning team. I'd have to give it to Harrison myself because that guy makes plays all over the field. Ware is a pass rusher, and get's alot in part because the Cowboys blitz more then anyone in the NFL. You also have to look at the fact the 'Boys are falling apart and with that in mind it goes to Harrison. I do think Ed Reed gets 2nd though haha.
  21. Even though the chance they all take a little pay cut to stay together is slim to none, the fact they are publicly saying they will has to be encouraging... However, I do agree that Scott is the least important and I do think it would be smarter to spend his money elsewhere and give guys like McClain and Barnes the job of rushing up the middle, Scotts play of late hasnt been too amazing.
  22. Not sure about best Punter in the NFL but damn that kid can punt, he should've made it to the Pro Bowl this year at least.
  23. Having Rice back would be big to not only give McClain a rest but also to open up the field a little more. Rice is a great 3rd down back and recieving option for Flacco and that has definitely been missing from our game with him out lately. We need to be healthy this week, hopefully Mason plays.
  24. From this years results we will have an easy schedule, but most of these teams will be on the rise with cap room and good draft picks, so don't count on 14-2 just yet.
