  1. I don't care if he hurts his ankle, I just didn't find it funny. The event itself wasn't amusing, then the rest of it is a little kid in pain crying and panicking. Hilarious!
  2. I started watching on DVD about 4 seasons in and caught up. Watching them on DVD an episode a day seemed to be better. No waiting a week frustrations, you dont know when sweeps week episodes are so major events happening can actually be surprises. It seemed to be good season then bad season back and forth. Normally it was at least entertaining. I thought last year sucked but watched again because the writers claimed they were re-inventing it. This season started OK IMO, but went downhill quickly. Everything that made it stand out ended up handcuffing the writers into repeating themselves. Over and over. Hey we got the bad guy! Oops thats not really the bad guy. Someone was just pulling that bad guys strings! whoa! What? A mole at CTU? Oddly enough I feel if they would have abandoned the real time gimmick after a couple of seasons, which they will for the movies, it could have been a better show. Planning the movie now bugs me too, because I read they are tooling the ending to set up for the movie. End the show thinking of the show, not thinking of a movie. That disrespects the series and its viewers in my opinion. I hated when The X Files did it. One of their season finales led into the first movie. Go eff yourself Chrus Carter! lol I loved The X Files and cannot even watch it now because the last few years tainted the whole thing for me.
  3. I have never seen a Matlock so I dont know. I think about half of the 24s have been entertaining this year, others insultingly stupid, and few boring - and boring is the worst offense in my book. They have also had episodes where two years of character development has been tossed aside in seconds. The whole idea of 'we just need to get this peace treaty signed at any cost, then we'll have lasting peace' is funny. After all once a peace treaty is signed it never ever gets broken. But overall during its run it was a fun 'dont think too much' show that tried different things and was often successful.
  4. Talk about a show limping toward its conclusion. If it wasnt the last season I would have stopped watching by now.

Here is a shot of the fog that kept forming in the Hershey arena: If anything the photo doesnt do it justice, from where we sat at times we could barely see the other net.

LOL and didnt Hossa create the turnover that scored the 4th goal! You momentarily uncursed him! The Blackhawks are a really good team, fast and skilled. I probably only saw a handful of their games this season before the playoffs so I didnt notice as much.

Yeah the last Halak goal sucked. I am still more frustrated by the consecutive shutouts then the 9 goals allowed in two games. Well the next is really a must win. A few years ago I saw a pre-season Flyers-Penguins game in Hershey and it was hot outside and inside the arena. So much that a fog would form over the ice. Every few minutes the refs would stop the game and have the players skate around waving their arms to dissipate the fog. Sounds amusing and it was, but it turned the game into a 4 hour event. During the intermissions everyone would go outside to cool off. On the way back in we were looking around and I guess we didnt move fast enough for some people, and I felt stuff hitting my back. I turned around and there was a family wearing Flyers jersey throwing fries at us. All of them. It was a mother and father and two kids who were probably 10 and 7. I was shocked and just said "oh real nice". Nice parenting. I had season tickets to the Eagles a couple of years, they were cheap seats too and every game there was violence in the air. I went to a Penguins game in Philly and the Flyers won easily and the nasty things the fans were yelling at their own team surprised me. My wife wanted to wear her Penguin jersey but luckily I talked her out of it.

I think its kind of funny. A lot of fans who say they hate the "ole" in Montreal are saying how much they like Philly fans doing it. Whether its mockery or not it sounds the same to me. Here is some other fun stuff about Philly this series: Certainly no fun for Patrick V. Hickey, who had a worse night than the Canadiens. The Gazette's intrepid beat man parked his Honda Civic – 564,000 km and purring like a kitten – at the Wachovia Center. Because the car has Quebec plates, Flyers' fans slashed the tires – and stole the plate! Two Canadian TV trucks were vandalized as well. And Marc-Antoine Godin of La Presse Tweets: "2 PHI fans yelled at TV guy 'go back home, you f@#$#& French-Canadian!' One had Briere jersey, the other a Gagné" It seems to me to be an angry fan base and I dont really get that. Ive been to hockey, baseball, and Eagles games there and anger always seemed to me to be the most prevalent emotion. I'll never see a hockey game there again.

With the exception of not scoring I think the Habs look fine this game. They are making Leighton look like Hasek. Though they were better in the first than the second; I dont really think many chances were great in the second. Once again the goal in the third has to be to at least break the shut out. Its Michael friggin Leighton! I don't mind the long contracts, though I am glad the Habs don't have any like that. Eventually some team will really get burned on one whether through injury or just failing skills.

In some ways it seems like the contracts are worse than they were before, but at least there is a cap and they cannot have 10 players making 9 million. That may end up being a bargain for Backstrom. Its certainly not a Bobby Holik pre-lockout deal. Coming off of 54 point season a lot of teams were interested and people thought he would get between 4 and 5 million. Then the Rangers jumped in out of no where with a 9 million a year contract. (like the Yankees with Giambi years ago like they thought "to hell with bidding, we'll just offer 15 million more than everyone else". I still think its a lot better post lockout, I think its fair that salaries are tied into revenue.

I enjoyed what I saw of the Sharks-Blackhawks game. End to end action with few calls. I am not too down about the game tonight, after the stress of two elimination games last series, and three the previous one; I am pretty relaxed so far. I understood the Habs pic was a congratulatory one.

lol, I didnt really think the signature pic had anything to do with anything. Though I am not really superstitious about much, but I am a bit with sports. Not much to say about this game, everything the Flyers are doing is working and the Habs look a bit lost. Oh well, its only game 1. I'd at least like a goal before its over.

Hey, a Price sighting. Not sure what Halak could have done about two of them though.

Not a great start so far. Lots of shots but little sustained pressure. I blame your signature photo Millz, you're jinxing them!

What a series and what a game. Back from 3-0 in the series and 3-0 in the game. Amazing. Oh well I hate the Bruins and Lucic. I have no predictions. At this point I wouldnt want to pick against the Habs or the Flyers.
  18. I am OK with pretty much the entire statement he made. Its a crappy start and he continually says so. Sure at times he proposes reasons why it is, but I think he has to do that as a GM.
  19. I liked it a lot, good episode. But:

    LOST 2/16/10

I thought the name was going to be some sort of payoff or big deal, but now I am not so sure. The brother died, and its just smokey in his body now. Which makes sense, because when you see everything, the brother wasn't pure evil like its been suggested Lock-Monster is. The brother was troubled, but not evil IMO.
  22. Oh sorry! Because some stuff happened a few weeks ago I didnt put spoiler tags in the post. I guess I should have.

I dont care whether the Bruins or Flyers win, I am just glad it went 7 to give the Habs another couple of days rest.

Good series Millz, I have trouble posting here during the game or I'd have more to say. Stall scared me every time he was on the ice. I'm shocked and kind of at a loss for words. I have been a Habs fan for 12-13 years and last year was the first season that they were predicted to be really good since I have followed them. Naturally they stunk - back into the playoffs and were quickly swept by the Bruins. Due to the expectations that was the worst year and least fun I had as a fan. Now this up and down season and they beat the two best eastern teams (IMO) and make it to the conference finals for the first time since I have been watching. Unreal. You never know.
