I liked Billick as a coach and I still like him. I also agree with the decision to replace him. I dont think he was any more (or less) arrogant than most successful coaches are, and they all double talk around questions they dont want to answer. Sometimes I think people confused his intelligence with arrogance. Just because he is smart and uses big words doesnt mean he is being arrogant when he does so. I also dont remember too many Raven fans complaining about the way he took the focus off of Ray Lewis durning the SB week. All in all Billick turned the team around and helped give it a personality and coached it to a super bowl victory with a putrid offense. He wasnt perfect, and he was here for a long time so I think the change was good for the team, but I like and respect him and what he did here. And LOL at Preston's comments. What an ego he has.

I shoveled my walk, I think its a waste of time but a lot of my neighbors were doing theirs so I figured I should to fit in.

I think if any team we play throws deep a lot then we will lose easily. I hope not, but thats how it looks to me. Why the Colts and Steelers didnt throw deep often on us I dont understand.

Joe was bad, the O-line was bad, the receivers were bad. The secondary was bad, the defense cannot tackle, the coaching was suspect. The refs are a joke. A bunch of old men who miss easy balls spots and calls and even point the wrong way on a possession call. They need some serious re-tooling in numerous spots.

In the long run I am not worried about the offense. Flacco may be having a bit of a sophomore slump, but he'll learn from it. Ray Rice is the real deal and the time Flacco and him have together this year will help next year. The team, while by no accounts a great one, has found ways to lose games. At times it has been offensive problems, at times defensive, and at time special teams. A better CB (even one), another good WR, or even a different kicker from the beginning of the season and perhaps this whole season has a different feel.

I'll pick 9-7. I think they beat Pittsburgh at home (the Steelers are not very good either) but lose to them on the road and lose to GB.

I'd love to see an upset, and wouldnt be amazed to see the Ravens win but after last nights effort I just dont expect it.

I too have heard you say this for years. It might have some merit, the Modell Curse! However I dont think Lerner railroaded Art, I think they were both in on the move together. Didnt the moving papers get signed in Al's jet? They either had a falling out afterwards or a fake one so Al was in better position to get the Cleveland franchise.

In some ways I kind of agree. Its odd. At time the Bengals moved the ball at will and to me it doesnt seem like the defense really played well at all during any part of this game. Yet they only gave up 17 points.

The Ravens offense was stopped by more than just the Steelers last year in the playoffs. In fact it was pretty poor the entire playoffs. The Miami game saw the defense score and play big. Would a big time receiver have gotten them further? I am not so sure. I'd like to have a great # 1 receiver but wouldn't want to trade for one or over pay for one. This team has more pressing needs IMO.

Before the season I would have been in agreement that the Ravens needed another and better WR on the team. Right now I am not sure, for the most part they are getting it done with who they have.

In the same article he also says he thinks this is it. In a way its smart, most RBs are not very effective very far into their 30s anyway. (pay attention LaDainian)

I like just about everyone in the movie but it looks like, and from what I read some others agree, that it was just thrown together. I can hear Vaughn "hey, lets make a movie with all my friends either in it or filming it and set it in say - how about Bora Bora?"...cannot say I blame him. Get paid to hang out in Bora Bora with my friends. Because I like them, I will catch it on DVD.

I care. I am glad the rumors of the Ravens getting Vick didnt turn out to be true. I was really glad when they didnt draft Lawrence Phillips. I dont know enough about Brandon Marshall or his case to have a an opinion on him, but I do not want to cheer for a bunch of criminals.

I still like Clayton well enough, I dont want him completely removed from the field. I just think its possible Washington could do better overall.

I'd like to see a little more of Kelly Washington, perhaps at the expense of Mark Clayton. I dont know where Tyree will fit on the depth chart.
