  1. Odd is good, Spen. "Maybe the poet is gay, but he'll heard anyway...maybe she's a woman who can touch you where you're human".
  2. That's a 10% increase in income for my neighborhood.
  3. It's the end of the world...as we know it.
  4. That and a secondary where no one can tackle worth a shit. The offense better be ready to put up major points in 2009. :o
  5. It makes you a true blue American. We just consume, we don't give a rat's ass about the ramifications.
  6. Ocean levels rising or falling with the melting of the polar ice cap...volume is the key, or is it? Molecular basis for the Volume Increase of Ice: The normal pattern for most compounds is that as the temperature of the liquid increases, the density decreases as the molecules spread out from each other. As the temperature decreases, the density increases as the molecules become more closely packed. This pattern does not hold true for ice as the exact opposite occurs. In liquid water each molecule is hydrogen bonded to approximately 3.4 other water molecules. In ice each each molecule is hydrogen bonded to 4 other molecules. The above would indicate that as the ice melts the volume of displaced water would decrease resulting in a lowering of ocean levels, but...how much of the current volume of melting ice is actually sitting out/above the ocean? That fact changes everything. One would have to calculate the volume drop of ice "submerged" melting versus the volume increase due to new volumes of water being introduced by ice melting that is currently out/above the surface of the oceans. You'll also have to add in the new volume of water created by melting ice in the form of runoff from land like Antartica and Greenland.

  8. You all are just jealous because Ray knows Him and you don't. :o
  9. Don't think I said anything about CMac, did I sparky? I took issue with a post that goes way beyond expressing an opinion and borders on a work of fiction. But your response doesn't surprise me given your history of completely ignoring the facts and and substance of posts in an attempt at playing the atagonist or in this case defending one of your admins. Now let's talk about Chris from a factual standpoint: Chris's cap hit next year is extremely high, probably too high to stay as is.He's had his share of down time over the last couple of years due to injury. He was leading the team in pics before going down this year. He's always been the best tackler in the secondary and in the one year they allowed him to float and cover the best WR on each team we played...he shut all of them down.Unless the surgery is miraculous, it's time he considered moving to safety, if possible, either here or someplace else like Lott and Woodson did in their latter years. He has to get on board with Harbaugh's program if he stays here.Preston has always disliked McAlister because Chris has no respect for him and rightly so. So, in the words of the immortal Cat Stevens... "Its not time to make a change, Just relax, take it easy. You're still young, thats your fault, Theres so much you have to know. Find a girl, settle down, If you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but Im happy. I was once like you are now, and I know that its not easy, To be calm when youve found something going on. But take your time, think a lot, Why, think of everything you've got. For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not." ;)
  10. You haven't a shred of evidence to support this garbage. And then in another post, further demonstrating your irrational dislike for Chris, you blast him for not being around during his rehab and make excuses for guys like Gregg not being around during theirs. Do the words credibility, integrity or reasonableness have any meaning whatsoever to you? Sometimes it's better to remain silent and have people think you a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
  11. Sorry, 3 pics and you get most of the blame. The pressure got to him plain and simple but not to worry; for tomorrow's another day my dear Scarlett.
  12. Fiorce is right, Willis lowered his head into Clark. The guy was leading with his shoulder not his head and if Willis didn't lower his head he would have caught a shoulder square in the chest. Bone crushing tackle but not dirty or malicious.
  13. 30,000 people thrown out of work.
  14. My condolences on the loss of your Dad Cravn.
  15. Ummmm...because football fans are stupid?
  16. Some would call that playing not to lose, which usually means you lose. Football is not a sport where you can play scared and be successful.
  17. If a personal foul takes place after the play, the result of which is a first down, it is a first down and long. Personal fouls after the whistle do not negate the play or its result.
  18. I agree Max. There doesn't seem to be any quit in this team from top to bottom.
  19. If they don't bring Chris back next year, they better find a corner that can tackle because there's not one on the field right now.
  20. Wouldn't be the case if we had a healthy CMac back there.
  21. Like the man said today... ""Come on, let's not kid ourselves," said Ravens fullback Lorenzo Neal, in his 16th season. "It's great to win any playoff game, especially on the road. But if we leave our defense exposed like that on the field next week with no points, we're in trouble. "Our defense gave us the ball at the 40 once, and the 50 twice, and we didn't score any points," Neal said. "Those are the kinds of things that Lorenzo Neal, Derrick Mason, Le'Ron McClain and Joe Flacco better be concerned with. We play a team next week that likes to run like us, play great defense like us and will smack you around. If you don't score points off turnovers, those points will come back to haunt you in close games."" Exactly Lorenzo and that's why we've lost close games to good teams this year. Time for the offense to step up and take advantage of every opportunity. Flacco may not look like he's rattled but I suspect his periods of high and overthrown balls are symptoms of his nerves getting the better of him. Everyone shows stress differently I think this is Flacco's way. The coaches need to be aware of it and settle him down when he starts doing it and not be fooled by the kid's seemingly calm demeanor.
  22. Today was the Ed Reed show from start to finish. Now if we expect to beat the Titans, Flacco and the OLine had better step up to the plate next week. I can't see Fisher's guys giving us 5 turnovers. Despite the seemingly lopsided win, our offense sucked today. Flacco wasn't seeing open receivers and missing them when he did see them. That cannot happen from here on out, or we'll be out. The OLine's run blocking looked pathetic for much of the game and will have to improve as well. On the defensive side I sincerely hope Suggs decides to show up next week because he was horrible today. Scott also did that let me knock you out but not wrap up imitation of tackling again and Ricky Williams made him pay for it. In fact, there were alot of missed tackles which is somewhat troubling to me. The best tackle I saw was when Washington tackled the receiver before the ball got there. Go Ravens
  23. You're right booggieman, we didn't win 31-9, it was only 27-9. May bad, now speaking of tails between one's legs...kiss my ass.
