  1. It was my impression that if Ozzie leaves it's a given that DeCosta gets it. I think that promise is what's kept him here.
  2. Agree with that. They'll make a strong pitch but it won't be the highest offer. KO, to stay here, would need to give us a home team discount.
  3. And, he's got to be able to cut and push off on that tendon like he's done before. That plus his age are against him. But nobody trains or plays harder than him. I'd love to see him go out with a good record here. The Ravens shouldn't take their eye off the ball on one thing though: we still need another better than average WR. Either through free agency, the draft, or trade. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/audio/Eisenberg-Smiths-Return-No-Excuse-To-Stand-Pat-/0cbab1e3-684b-4602-9069-1d721f177abe
  4. Mallet is already signed for next year. It was a two year contract, I believe.
  5. That still gives us 3 out of the first 71 picks in the draft. Surely Ozzie can do some magic with that, can't he?
  6. And we thought we were spoiled!
  7. I hope so. We'll see how he does against the Bengals defense next week. If he comes through, we won't have to worry about drafting a qb this year and that frees us up to concentrate on guys who can start right away.
  8. Didn't know Ward couldn't play for the first year. Maybe we'll succeed with Perriman the same way.
  9. You've got to be a super-fan to go to or watch this game.
  10. The point is, talent can be found anywhere in the draft regardless of where a team drafts. And total duds can be found in the early rounds and often are. Sock used to say the draft was a crap-shoot and boy was he right.
  11. Antonio Brown was a sixth round pick by the Steelers, 195th overall. That's the kind of drafting skill we need.
  12. Ugly. Really ugly. I hope they burned them.
  13. Here's what's being said. :http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000604812/article/ravens-steve-smith-sr-eyes-return-for-2016-season Don't know if I believe it.
  14. Doctson just might be available when we draft in the 2nd round. He sounds impressive from what I've read about him and would give us the WR we need if we decide on Ramsey for round 1.
  15. With his body he doesn't belong on ST. I agree that he should be used as an offensive weapon only.
  16. Well this puts things in a somewhat different light: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ryan-mallett-gets-no-guaranteed-money-20151217-story.html
  17. I didn't say 'great' weapons. I said 'decent' ones.
  18. The point is that without decent weapons, no quarterback will look great.
  19. What a waste of resources: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ryan-mallett-will-sign-deal-today-20151215-story.html
  20. I don't think even the Great Tom Brady could do much with this offense now.
  21. Interesting point. But I hope Mallet is plan d not plan b.
