  1. Papa, I would agree but I don't think there's any 1st round talent left at spot 29 to get either. See my note above about trading back.
  2. If this is a possible scenario (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-mcshay-has-ravens-going-safety-20120329,0,513604.story) where Konz falls to the second round, we could trade back for two picks in the second and get Konz and the guard McShay likes.
  3. Konz would be great if he's available but the Packers are looking for a Center too and they draft before us. They have to get contracts for Joe and Ray Rice that are cap friendly if they're even going to think about Free Agent lineman. The draft is indeed their best hope. They definitely need to find one or two gold nuggets there.
  4. Is it just me or are you all feeling that our offensive line situation is scarily poor? No Grubbs, McKinnie getting older, ditto for Birk, and no replacements in free agency. We can't win with a line that doesn't have a good LG. Joe will get killed.
  5. I wish they would cut bait on that arrangement and remove Webb from returning regardless what happens. He's too valuable as a CB.
  6. Yeah I agree with that.
  7. Its a tough road and we won't have as much success next season as this past one but I still think it will be an exciting year with a playoff appearance. Look for a real good season from Joe if he gets and extension. The biggest worry for me is our lack of a left guard. What are we going to do about that? By the way, Max, I like how you're going to dress this weekend!
  8. Its unnerving to have to wait around but if they sign Mathis I think we'll basically be alright.
  9. I think we can live with Redding and JJ gone but Grubbs' loss is a real blow...just didn't have enough cap room.
  10. Can he play LT? I'd hate to see Oher have to move back to LT again.
  11. DC seems to be a graveyard for your career if you're interested in winning. But, if its just the cash, then by all means go.
  12. The way the offensive line play improved after Grubbs returned tells me he is very important for us to retain, but I don't know if we're going to be able to afford him. I'd like to see us tell his agent that if he doesn't sign before free agency starts we'll pull the offer. Its the only leverage we have. I suspect Grubbs has decided to test free agency and go to the highest bidder which is not good news for us. McKinnie is a stop gap but at least he allows us to play Oher at RT. Its hard to come up with a good OT in the draft when we're drafting so far down. We need to either draft a younger LT or get one in free agency if they want to improve that position but the pickings are slim I believe. We also need a center---I'd like to see us draft Konz from Wisconsin if he's still available when its our turn to pick.
  13. Thanks for posting this Max! It warms my heart. And Crav, it does hurt and that would have been THE Drive in NE, but this time the better team, us, lost. At least it keeps the team hungry for another year.
  14. I'm leaning towards us bringing Evans back but not at $5 million. That would be ridiculous. I wonder what it would take to keep him here.
  15. I agree with you Max. The special teams look overwhelmed and badly coached.
  16. Would be nice though the Pack is drafting one ahead of us and might also need a C.
  17. McClain would probably come back cheap and humbled. I don't see him being a good number 2 but I'd be willing to have him take a shot at it. We should still draft a RB with power to back up RR.
  18. I wouldn't draft a kicker but we should definitely bring one in as an undrafted free agent and maybe take another look at Graham. I'm not for throwing Billy C to the wolves but he wasn't so hot even before he got injured this past season. A little competition would be a good thing for his confidence if wins it and if he loses the competition we get a better kicker---maybe.
  19. I'll stick with Ray. Paying him AP money is out of the question though---we just have too many guys to sign or already signed making big money. We'll franchise him unless he wants to give us a 'Ravens Discount'.
  20. I don't know...McClain is a possibility but I don't think he was as good as Ricky Williams. I'd like to see us get a real power back for a change of pace. McClain was like that one season but hasn't been since.
  21. I don't care what ESPN's qbr says. Looking at your ranking I'd have Flacco at number 8. And I'm still not sure Eli is better than him.
  22. If push comes to shove, I agree. I don't want to see a soap opera.
  23. I like Joe but he hasn't proven to be in that class---yet. Thats why I think a Tier 2 contract with Tier 1 incentives is the way to go.
  24. I wish there was some way we could bring Grubbs back too. The OL really improved with him in it.
  25. But McLain always wanted to be a featured back didn't he?
