I know the Ravens under Harbaugh hated to detail injury data in order to keep the next opponent guessing but I don't think it really affects much in that regard. It seems the Ravens have gone all in on that philosophy. Don't the training staffers talk to Minter? Why should he be taken by surprise that Lamar didn't play. Or does the team allow Lamar to use his own private trainers? There's always been a touch of paranoia on Lamar's part and the team's part about how much to reveal about the interaction between team and player when it comes to him.

Lamar was back at practice today and was a full participant. I'm not so sure that means he can or should play Sunday with a high ankle sprain that's on the mend when the Ravens have a Thursday night game next week against the Jags. From a medical point of view maybe he should be held out until the Jags game. It means another loss against the Bills but what about the long term viewpoint here? Whaddya think?

True but that would have meant giving up a pick for a 3 month rental.

Looks like they're good at drawing up game plans and scripting the first 10 or so plays but adjustments are either absent or very poor. Probably due to inexperience on Minter and Doyle's part. Hopefully, it is something they can get better with over time though I haven't seen any evidence of improvement in that regard so far.

It went as I expected and I turned it off in the 4th. Couldn't stand it anymore. Was hoping to maybe see a little Fagnano but didn't even get that consolation though I'm certain it wouldn't have made any difference by then anyway.

Definitely a game with a lot of weirdness! Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

This week's game might be tough to watch.

Jackson came back as a limited participant in full team practice today. Jurgens was a full participant. So some good news, anyway.

It may not matter. If he doesn't play we lose. If he does play we probably lose. I really hate to go here, but considering Lamar's lack of availability in recent seasons, do we really want to give him a lucrative extension? If we do, we have to have a quality backup. Let's let Nano have a shot if Huntley can't get the O going this Sunday.

I have seen Lamar do that on occasion but not as frequently as Stafford.

That's a lot to ask because then Henry can run through the defense middle. Plus Lamar can make those sideline 20 yard passes. I'd like to see what Nano can do if Lamar can't go.

I think Huntley is/was too popular with the team and friends with Lamar so Minter feels uncomfortable benching him and giving Nano a shot. I think he's afraid of losing the team and Lamar's loyalty to try something like that even though it's needed now. Nano deserves at least a chance if Lamar still isn't healed by the next game. The Bengals will eat us for lunch unless some serious changes are made.

Yep...I agree. It really hurts that Huntley has the weak arm. I guess that's why he's only a backup. It does look like Andrews has lost it. Maybe he blocks better than Cuevas. I wasn't watching for that.

I don't know...just an overall bad 3 quarters from the offense. The D played well enough to easily win but Huntley, after a fast start, let me down. Same for Doyle. Play calling went into a shell way too early. The O-line had its share of letdowns too. No room for Henry to get started and mediocre pass protection. Hard for me to understand why the O-line can look so good on some drives and then fall apart for the rest of the game. Sure, lack of talent there is a problem but not to the extent that they should have lost this game. Will be interesting to see if Lamar has any better luck when he comes back. Boy, right now the whole AFC North doesn't look so hot.

I read that Lamar doesn't have a high ankle sprain, but he doesn't have a 'low' one either. They called it a mid-ankle sprain. Guess that means recovery time is somewhere in-between.

I think it's going to be another Snoop day this week Would feel better of course if Lamar was able, but I'd rather have him ready for sure for the Bengals after this week's game. We face a tough slate of games after the Browns. Not to say they couldn't punish us either with Monken. Do you know if Monken calls the offensive plays for Cleveland or does he have his OC do it?

The Browns looked good for a while then reverted to form last week. I don't know which version will show up. No matter what, we have to be prepared for an afternoon of smashmouth, trash talking, tough football that is the rule rather than the exception in the AFC North. It'd be nice to have Lamar back if he's healthy. He adds several dimensions to our offense. Hendrickson might be back with Ja'Kobi as well.

I was a fed for many years before retiring so I kind of know how you feel. Every time there was an election I would sweat it.

If Huntley had a stronger arm, he could be a number one quarterback somewhere. It really hurts him that he doesn't because he has all the other qualities to be one: poise, leadership, game management, etc. He deserved the win and the accolades last night especially on that OT drive.

Same here. The Ravens came out breathing fire and playing fast. We had our ups and downs but got more effective as we wore the Falcons down. Kudos to Snoop, Derrick, Hamilton, and the Defensive line and linebackers. And Flowers and Bateman.
