Well I just feel he'll add some pounds in camp. And as mentioned above, as long as he minds what he eats before games and avoids the mid-game visit to the john, we'll probably be alright. And towards the very end of the season I did notice he had done something to help correct overthrowing deep receivers. Whatever it was he did, I hope it sticks around for this season. I tend to be too hard on Lamar, I think. The guy was MVP twice in 5 years.

Lamar has really slimmed down. He's at 205 now. https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/ravens-nfl/ravens-lamar-jackson-weight-offseason-pounds-PEPSWLBRT5GDFFLNI4WZBPNC7Y/?schk=YES&rchk=YES&utm_source=The+Baltimore+Banner&utm_campaign=97b92ddc50-NL_ALRT_RV_20240510_1145&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-97b92ddc50-[LIST_EMAIL_ID]&mc_cid=97b92ddc50&mc_eid=7135e1e06f. But as you read, the Ravens might want him to add back some weight. Really, what I would like to see is his throwing the deep ball and making completions.

I think Lamar's future success is going to be determined if he can master the deep ball. We left a lot of points on the field last year with overthrown deep balls. BUT, toward the very end of the season, it looked like he just might have solved his problems with it. This year will tell the tale.

The O-line is so in need of starters and depth that I think he's got a chance to be a backup.
-
I saw that article too. 230 was definitely too heavy for him. 205 might be too light. Seems like he ought to be around 210-215. Hopefully he is getting good advice from our trainers. He did look a step slower last year, but frankly, I don't want my $250million QB running a lot anyway.
-
Well...I'll say this. If I'm playing against a QB, I'd rather play Lamar than CJ. Lamar really has to prove he can the big game.
-
That could very well be.

Yeah, pretty good stuff. I would have liked to heard an answer from Todd on why they ditched the run in the Championship game even outside the redzone, especially as to who was calling the plays most of the time.

Good find, Grubber. Looks like another area that needs improvement.
-
They need him to be solid. We've drafted injured guys before who haven't ever played up to their scouting reports before they were hurt.
-
Yup...just about 7 weeks until camp. Seems like the season just ended.
-
This is pretty early to have the top 2 signed. Glad they have Tampa in the fold too. Rookie camp started today, I believe.
-
I think it's going to be KC and us. And KC will win again.
-
We'll see. Nearly all UDFA's wind up getting cut.
-
Yes...forgot about him. Still, they could have used that money on keeping somebody else instead. Queen? Clowney? Zeitler for one more season?
-
Well...even Ozzie flubbed here and there on draft picks but I can't say I ever remember him paying a guy before he earned it. Shoot, there was a better case to be made for Queen than Oweh!

$13 mil is a steal---from the Ravens. Can't believe they couldn't have negotiated a cheaper extension like they did with Bateman. The guy just hasn't panned out as hoped.
-
In my opinion, the overall grade depends on Rosenberger. If he can become the starter sooner rather than later at RT, I'll raise my grade. Yeah, Franklin kind of fell out of the whole draft.
-
These are probably just camp bodies. Do any of them really have a chance of sticking? Same question about our 6th-7th round picks. Overall, and just from what I've read, I'd give our draft a C at best. Your opinions? It's tough when you're drafting so far down in each round.
-
Walker had 12 drops last season. His drop rate is 8.5%. He's pretty solid otherwise but I'm still wary because of the Perryman fiasco.
-
Also, just read where Preston believes he could be a shutdown corner for us, which we haven't had in a long time. My concern is his size and tackling skills seem to be lacking from other sources I've been reading, but his coverage skills are sky-high they say. Regarding rounds 2-3 and later, we need an OT or two and I think they'll draft at least one tonight. And when they do get around to drafting a WR I'd like to see them consider Rice from USC. But, you guys know a lot more about college talent than I do. Who would you like to see?
-
Just read where 'The Athletic' gave a grade of A-.
-
Hi Dee...yeah they gave it a D but had him ranked at 34 on their big board. I don't know anything about the guy except what I've read here and online.
-
I understand your concerns about Stanley but I think he can give us one more year. Faalelle is big and has some talent but I see him more as a backup or rotational guy. That's why I'm worried here...plus our depth is non-existent.
-
One of the better picks they could have made given the run on OTs. But who is going to play RT this year? By that I mean who's ready at pick 62 to start at RT? I fear the answer is 'nobody'.
