I would think it is very difficult to proceed with any charges when the victim really doesn't press the case. In domestic abuse cases it does happen all too often that the victim doesn't press charges and the cycle of abuse>call for help>decision not to press charges>abuse and the cycle starts all over again. If Jay really wants to do the right thing here he should just leave this woman alone and not have anything more to do with her. And maybe he's learned a lesson and this won't ever happen again. But those outcomes are rare. If he did this he needs help quickly...and needs to keep his gun happy brother out of it. I don't think we've heard the end of this by any means. Both the Ravens and the NFL may move ahead with disciplinary action which they can do even if no crime has been proven.

A real shame how injuries hurt him. His contract is too big to carry. A cut in salary is a necessity for the team.
-
Also, there's reports his brother was present and pulled a gun on her. This was not a trivial incident. It's a mess and I too think he is probably on the way out the door.
-
I'll be surprised now if they bring any of those free agents back. Kinda shocked by Zeitler non-move but he will be 34 and we don't know what he's asking. OT will the bane of the offensive line next year.
-
Baltimore Banner reports an investigation into whatever happened has been suspended without charges.
-
Me too if he could start for us and contribute right away. What about OT's though. We're hurting there.
-
Glad to see Agholar re-signed. He's not a game breaker, but his steady veteran presence is a help. If they stay healthy, Bateman, Flowers, and Agholar might make up the core of the receiver wide receiver room. We could use one more good receiver but we also have other priorities.
-
I would only trade up a few spaces if a player of need who was also a BPA was there. Otherwise, I do agree, better talent on the whole is in the middle rounds this year.
-
Well, I have doubts about Franklin's frame. Aggressive NFL corners might find it easy to keep him contained. Could be why he was hot/cold during games last season. I don't know what capital we'd have to trade, but it might be worth trading up in round one to get a starter at LT.
-
The O-line, particularly tackle, needs to be the priority unless a great BPA drops to our pick. Unlikely to find a starting LT as far down as we are drafting, so going for a BPA is probably what will happen. It's hard to draft for need at any pick out of the top 10 so you've just got to go with the flow. Has anybody heard if Keaton Mitchel will make it back in time for camp?

Interesting...thanks Grubber...maybe much ado about not much regarding Zay. I hope.
-
Hey Grubber, where did you see that report?
-
I don't see where Todd Monken is from the 'nepotism hiring train'.
-
Well, that's why it's a good thing Lamar is transitioning now at age 27.
-
Lamar's no dummy. Hopefully, he learns from the KC game and makes the appropriate adjustments next time. He's young yet. Elway, Manning and others were nearing the end of their careers when they finally won 'the big one'. And Dan Marino never did. We probably won't have another shot at the big prize for a little while due to free agency and cap constraints, but I bet he improves and will be ready and even more hungry for a title next time the opportunity arises. And, who knows? Maybe EDC has some more magic in his wand and can put together another contender sooner than we think.
-
Well as you said he's still young. There's no doubt he sees the future as a pocket passer rather than a running quarterback. He did screw it up in the KC game. Forgot about his running backs. Or maybe that was Monken. We don't really know.
-
Starting to sound, well, weird. I mean this happened on January 17 and they're still investigating? You'd think they'd have an answer by now. I'd like to see our local politicians just stay out of it.
-
Yep...I really liked him too. He always seemed to be so happy to be playing. Well, at least until he lost the ball at the goal line. I'm hoping there is nothing to this, but past experience with other players makes me wary.
-
Geez, what else is going to go wrong?
-
I think they need offensive tackles---one to start and one to develop, and I don't think Voorhees is considered a tackle but more so a guard. Video was interesting. Yep, we missed it by a smidge and the window won't be as open next year due to cap constraints. We should be playing in the Super Bowl this Sunday.
-
I'd like to see Clowney, Gus, and Agholor back. I think Stone is gone because there would be too much dead money if they let Williams go. They are apparently thinking about franchising Madebuike. Van Noy, though I love what he did for us, is probably gone too. And somehow we have to fix the O-line. Drafting might be a solution there but we need several new bodies and I'm not sure we're picking high enough.
-
What with 20+ free agent Ravens this year and limited cap space, just wanted to see if anybody had any input as to whom we should try to keep and those we should let go.
-
I think you're right...we really don't know who is responsible for the mess-up regarding not running the ball, but by the second half there should have been an adjustment. I don't know if Lamar is so in love with the passing game that he would only call 6 rushing plays. Same goes for Monken. But for sure, someone should have made the necessary adjustments. We'll just never know for sure who that was, and that's a real kick in the ass.

Three opinions: 1) Don't understand why no reporter asked DeCosta, when he was discussing injured players, about Keaton Mitchell. 2) The fact that the team and Mike McDonald are high on Zach Orr is reassuring...but Orr is an unknown quantity to me...I tend to think Roquan was/is responsible for the great linebacking we had. 3) The fact that we failed to make offensive adjustments on offense to re-establish the running game last week, has to fall on Todd Monken. But, I still think he is a very good offensive coordinator for us. Maybe he learned a little bit.

Thanks for posting. All I can say is I have little idea what point Harbs was trying to make with the lack of rushing attempts. His claim that we got behind and had to pass doesn't quite sound right to me. We were only behind by 1 TD so I don't know why we didn't try and mix it up more. Doesn't make a lot of sense. But he's right in one way: if Zay had not lost the ball at the one yard line and if Lamar hadn't thrown into triple coverage for the INT in the end zone, the outcome would have been different. But if we had run more maybe we wouldn't have had those 2 pass plays blow up in our faces. It also seemed to me that he threw Monken under the bus a little by saying the Chiefs had a better game plan than we did. Maybe that was justified. But that is an internal team thing that isn't visible to us on the outside. I do have one prediction: next year, the last year of his contract, will be Harbs last year of coaching one way or another.
